Hi Lisa, it's a good question. I prefer the green oasis because I find it so much easier to work with. The dry (grey) oasis can be crumbly and most polystyrene foams are too firm to use and make work difficult. Polystyrene is ok if it is light and open textured.
At the end of the day it really comes down to personal preference... there is no right or wrong way.
