I'm no expert but I've been installing antennas on roofs for a year and I find it's a lot easier to make up your coax lead on the ground and your tripod and mask on the ground the carry it up onto the roof. Just a little tip of mine and lots of other antenna installers say it's a lot easier and quicker
Yeah it's probably safer too. You'd still need to leave it the tripod bolts loose enough that you can adjust the angle right. I tended to usually feed my cable from the roof so I'd get just the right amount to reach the splitter without waste. That wouldn't matter so much to people who don't do hundreds of them.
But has limited positions, and also limits you to having to mount it on bargeboards which are never mount to bear any load. I use valley mounts if there is a valley
Hi Bro,
Your video demonstration is really nice. Its going to be a great help for installing my tv antenna.Much appreciated.thx
Thanks! I'm guessing the coax goes under a edge of a tile?

Would’ve been good if showed how the coaxial cable connects
I always mounted in the middle of two tiles less chance of cracking one, make sure you've got sharp drillbit's
Where can I buy a bracket to hold the pole?
How to bring that tile down the one you kicked up?
You didn't say, is that a metric Crescent wrench?
Thanks for very knowledgeable video, can you please share information on drill bit and size used. Thanks
Please buy a level and a socket wrench, that was exhausting.
who edited this?
G'day I purchased one of these but never had the bolts with it. How long are they and what's the name for them please
They're hex head 90mm 12 gauge roofing screws. See step 8 here: www.digitaltvhelp.com.au/install-tile-roof-tripod-tv-antenna/
Digital TV Help thank you very much 👍
Can you do a video on a colorbond roof please?
Even easier just lift existing tech screws. I use the tile mount on tin as the lip keeps it steady.
if you ever do one are you able to record it? I would like to see it in practice
Clever device. Not available in the U.S.
Not a word
Hockey stick mount is much easier
