Narrated Abu Raja Al-Utaridi:
We used to worship stones, and when we found a better stone than the first one, we would throw the first one and take the latter, but if we could not get a stone then we would collect some earth (i.e. soil) and then bring a sheep and milk that sheep over it, and perform the Tawaf around it. When the month of Rajab came, we used (to stop the military actions), calling this month the iron remover, for we used to remove and throw away the iron parts of every spear and arrow in the month of Rajab. Abu Raja' added: When the Prophet (ﷺ) sent with (Allah's) Message, I was a boy working as a shepherd of my family camels. When we heard the news about the appearance of the Prophet, we ran to the fire, i.e. to Musailima al-Kadhdhab.
حَدَّثَنَا الصَّلْتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَهْدِيَّ بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيَّ، يَقُولُ كُنَّا نَعْبُدُ الْحَجَرَ، فَإِذَا وَجَدْنَا حَجَرًا هُوَ أَخْيَرُ مِنْهُ أَلْقَيْنَاهُ وَأَخَذْنَا الآخَرَ، فَإِذَا لَمْ نَجِدْ حَجَرًا جَمَعْنَا جُثْوَةً مِنْ تُرَابٍ، ثُمَّ جِئْنَا بِالشَّاةِ فَحَلَبْنَاهُ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ طُفْنَا بِهِ، فَإِذَا دَخَلَ شَهْرُ رَجَبٍ قُلْنَا مُنَصِّلُ الأَسِنَّةِ. فَلاَ نَدَعُ رُمْحًا فِيهِ حَدِيدَةٌ وَلاَ سَهْمًا فِيهِ حَدِيدَةٌ إِلاَّ نَزَعْنَاهُ وَأَلْقَيْنَاهُ شَهْرَ رَجَبٍ.
وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ، يَقُولُ كُنْتُ يَوْمَ بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم غُلاَمًا أَرْعَى الإِبِلَ عَلَى أَهْلِي، فَلَمَّا سَمِعْنَا بِخُرُوجِهِ فَرَرْنَا إِلَى النَّارِ إِلَى مُسَيْلِمَةَ الْكَذَّابِ.

So he said: 'I do it because I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "Touching them atones for sins." And I heard him saying: "Whoever performs Tawaf around this House seven times and he keeps track of it, then it is as if he freed a slave." And I heard him saying: "One foot is not put down, nor another raised except that Allah removes a sin from him and records a good merit for him."

Narrated `Abis bin Rabi`a: tougue`Umar came near the Black Stone and kissed it and said "No doubt, I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit anyone nor harm anyone. Had I not seen Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) kissing you I would not have kissed you."

Ibn Abbas narrated that:The Messenger of Allah said about the (Black) Stone: "By Allah! Allah will raise it on the Day of Resurrection with two eyes by which it sees and a tongue that it speaks with, interceding to whoever touched it in truth."

Where does it say "dont ask questions" in the Qur'an?
On the contrary, the Qur'an tells us to ponder, to reason to think deeply about history, the natural world, creation of ourselves and many many things.
To think and not expect questions is ludicrous.
The companions of the prophet (RAA) had many questions and he taught/answered them over 23yrs.
But the Qur'an tells us of those believers and non believer who had questions of lineage (a huge topic of importance to Arabs - they'd discuss the lineage of family EVEN camels/horse as a hobby for ages).
In their days of illicite sex (Jahil/ignorance - before Islam) children born without a fathers name, once grown, naturally would want ti know who he, their father, was/is.
They'd ask the prophet pbuh.
Allah SWT tell those people NOT to ask questions that if answered may upset them.
ie: If you're told so and so was your father and you had killed him in one of the MANY decade long vendettas waged by Arab tribes back then, you'd be remorseful maybe suicidal, definitely not happy.
SO, don't ask the prophet pbuh THOSE sorts of questions.

Christians are not commanded to kiss the cross according to the bible. It is the people who kiss the cross as a way to show love to christ, kissing the cross it means more then just saying I respect it. A kiss is a sign of love and to love the cross of Jesus is a radical statement. We love and embrace what it represents. That is Christ's great love for us and the means to our salvation.
If we now compare a stone to a cross, we can see that a stone has nothing to do with God well as a cross it symbolizes the suffering of jesus, the stone on the other hand is pure paganism because we have hadiths that says the stone will come on the Day of Resurrection with a tongue with which it will testify about those who kissed it in sincerity. “It was narrated that the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘The Black Stone is Allaah’s right hand on His earth. It will come on the Day of Resurrection with a tongue with which it will testify about those who kissed it in sincerity or otherwise. It does not sink in water and it does not get hot in fire…’”
