LOVE the shrimp tank "architectural" advice regarding "the islands"! It's a great way to think about it.
Since this video I have went a little crazy with different mosses on little bits of lava rock to create more islands, the shrimp have no had babies and I can see gally shrimplets, I cant wait for them to get bigger to show you guys.

Thank you for the great videos and tips. I started to drip acclimate my tanks durning a water change. I think the shrimp are much happier. I really like the idea of the ceramic rings and moss. Great idea. I will have a number made up this week. I am new in the shrimp hobby. I really enjoy them. What is your rarest shrimp you have? I like unique fish and shrimp. Do you ever put nano fish in with your shrimp like Chile Rasboras?
Glad to help, the rarest shrimp I have would be the boa or the sulawesi shrimp..not that they are super rare just hard to get in Norway.

Hi mark am enjoying ur vids. Just to ask as i keep aquarium fish. Iv been offered crystal red shrimps ive been told of the seller i dont need RO water as theyve been raised on tap water. Just to find out if thats true or even possible. As i have a sep tank ready to go for them
Yes you can keep them in tap just rember to treat the water with a dechlorinator and do just small water changes every week or two... drip the water back in :)

Hi mark, I have 20 advance nanashi shrimp in a 45 liter aquarium. They have an ada Amazonia substrate and an airfilter, i use dennerle ShrimpKing for the minerals. My waterparametrs are good. I had 4 berried females and they all lost their eggs. Do you know why? I do 10% waterchange a week and i make sure the temperature and the parameters off the water I put in match with my aquariumwater
how are you adding the water back in ? I drip mine back in 2-3 drops a second so it can take hours to refill tanks
@@MarksShrimpTanks I also do, I added also liquid carbon. I stopped woth that, i thought that maybe was the issue. I still use easy life profito as a fertiliser, should I also stop with that? Thanks for your fast reaction
Does the residue from the soap left on your hands/arms also cause issues as it’s a cleaning agent and all?
Not if you rince it all off its biodegradable anyway and safe for the environment.. I wouldn't add it straight to a tank though 😂

Baby shrimp like to hide in them, I think also the big shrimp cant climb through them so it give a place for biofilm to grow that only tiny shrimp can get to.

May I kindly ask your opinion on dividing a single tank into different sections with stainless steel mesh for breeding shrimp (such as 20 gallons into two sections for premium & high-grade shrimps and another 20 gallons into 2 sections for low-medium grade & culls?) Or, would it be better to have 10-gallon tanks for each grade? Thank you in advance.
yes you can do that I have done it before, just get what suits you best and breed shrimp

yes, dont do big huge water changes and when you do them only drip the water back in, and dont overfeed.

I do within Norway, I used to ship to sweden but I was having issues with your post and people not wanting toi pay tax so shrimp shipments were delayed killing shrimp. now I dont deal with swedish post for shrimp.
