    Those are the funkiest looking combat ‘gloves’ I’ve ever seen 😂

    These gloves look so cool. Please make a full review of these, I'm thinking of picking up my own pair now

    Interesting Gloves

    Hi love the video! however Just a bit of a correction, Bruce Lee did not actually design these gloves, he instead saw gloves being used in another martial art "Kenpo" and adopted it/popularized this style of glove for his own

    Can you make a full review for these gloves compared to other mma gloves and boxing gloves?

      Absolutely

    The only reason lee is regarded as the father of MMA is because of people's lack of education on the subject, luta livre, pankration etc etc. Bruce loved to talk and be seen, didn't do a lot of on the record fighting. Just hit stunt men and did demo's.

    A thinner version would be good for mma and stop eye pokes. I’ll let you in on a secret. The ufc doesn’t want to stop eye pokes. You figure out why.

      Well hopefully in another week or so I can start doing that again! Had knee surgery almost 3 weeks ago and PT said to hold off for a little while longer before I do twisting motions of any kind

    You need to do a little bit more investigation

      Probably so! But in TH-cam shorts, you only have a minute. I found a cool video of the gentleman that made these gloves for Bruce Lee. I assume you are regarding the statement of "one of the first martial arts that actively blended together" which is misguided as multiple millennia before Bruce Lee that was for sure happening. I guess I meant more of the "modern age" over the last 100 years or so.

      @@crsm-0187 Oh no I know but they're still ugly I'm pretty sure the the Comfort technology is pretty good but I wouldn't wear them because I think there are tons of other gloves that look even better and it's just as good or even Superior in handling like Hayabusa or rival

      @crsm-0187 bro, they literally look like the ancient gloves the very first fighters were 🫠🫠😂

    One of the first what?
    Every damn warrior that has proceeded Bruce Lee studied striking and grappling...Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Thracians, Dacians, Ottomans, and most Asian cultures, ALL practiced striking and grappling...

      First in the western world I guess LOL

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Agreed! Especially when you look at the history of a sport such as catch wrestling which derived from a blend of combat sports like backhold, collar and elbow, rough and tumble, pankration, and many more that actually involve striking as much as they did grappling. Even Jack Johnson, John L Sullivan, Jack Dempsey (all former heavyweight boxing champions) practiced wrestling. I guess my statement involves more of the idea that the gloves are one of the symbolizations of MMA. A lot of early MMA fighters like Bas Rutten always pay homage to the "tao of jeet kune do." I certainly don't believe that Bruce Lee is "the father of mma." I would sooner choose Judo Gene LeBell and former catch wrestlers like Frank/Karl Gotch or even Antonio Inoki in the previous century over Bruce Lee. But I can't help but think that Bruce Lee helped a little bit. Sorry for the long response, you got me thinking on a few things.

    Bruce Lee would have conditioned his knuckles during his traditional training, the gloves are actually to protect the person he is punching.

    • @cyclonebee1939
      @cyclonebee1939 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes bone conditioning works but hands are too weak to begin with. Your risk to hand breaks are still huge. Gloves add more concussive force as well.

    • @combat_corp
      @combat_corp  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, I believe Bruce Lee would prefer competition bare fisted, but training he used boxing gloves as well just as you said to protect him. But make no mistake, he was protecting himself too.

    • @cyclonebee1939
      @cyclonebee1939 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@combat_corp agreed. It's entirely different, gloves vs bare. Very much so for defense as well. For example the boxing catch and counter with the left hook doesn't work well with out gloves.
