I agree that between the brothers, yes, it is indeed Sam and not Dean who has the closer relationship to Jack (accepting Jack essentially from his initial birth; i.e. stopping Dean from shooting Jack). But if there is ANYONE who truly, genuinely understands and is capable to sympathize and relate amongst common misadventures & failings...that "person" is by far Castiel. He's an angel. He's murdered innocents. He's fallen victim to blind rage, has sought revenge, had plans & events to fail even though he was doing all the "right" things. It's all but confirmed that the closest "thing" to Jack is in fact Castiel when Jack willingly chooses Cas as his father.
@@MrEnjoivolcom1 I agree that Cas gets the first place in the dad category but in terms of understanding what Jack is and has been through I’d say that there’s no one better than Sam who can understand, relate or empathise. I see Sam as his dad then Dean and Cas as his uncle which is also what Alex has said when asked at con's as well .
For me, the three of them are his dads. He chose Castiel as his dad when he was in the womb. He even referred to him as one of his fathers when a dying girl asked him if he was his dad. "Yes, one of them" Sam being the one who understands and supports him. He never saw evil in him and was the second one to know he would do good. Jack trusts him and they have a strong bond (even tho the show didn't show it) And Dean, he was the most difficult one, but when he treated Jack and saw his intentions, he saw him as family too. He was very distressed when Jack was dying. He's his son after all. Jack adores him and looks up to him. When knowing he was going to die (the first time) they went on a road trip because Jack mentioned there would be many things we won't be able to do. Spending time with Dean was what he wanted because is what he will miss when he's gone. Jack takes so much after Dean. Sam and Dean raised him for the time being, until Cass came back and helped form him into what he was. Obviously after Mary's death Dean went crazy and hated Jack again. This is why Billy was able to manipulate him. Telling him that doing all that stuff, would make Dean happy and that It was the only way he would forgive him. And unfortunately, he never really looked at him the same way again. "He's not you, he's not Cass. He's not family" Jack was upset but he said he was okay. That Dean didn't need to apologize. Jack was truly heartbroken because he hurted his dads
I got to say, Cas is the only person (angel) who always has Jack's back. Cas never stops loving Jack, he didn't turn on Jack when Sam and Dean did, he was willing to face off against Dean to protect Jack. Castiel is the best dad in Supernatural
I'd probably blame this on Jared. I'd put money that any scene where Sam hugs Jack probably took a million takes to shoot. Jared tends to be a huge prankster
bro this video was so good. like the hugs are obvs already heartwarming and amazing but ur commentary... i laughed out loud at the squish noise for jack's face on number 2 and full on snorted when u had "power of love" in curly script. this was perfect
hoping we finally have a RIGHTEOUS dean and jack hug if (or when) dean forgives jack, and we need more sam and jack hugs. if i don't get either of these, the writers can see me when i'm hanging from their ceiling to stare holes into their heads as they sleep.
With or without a soul, I love Jack. Because of Jack, Cas is more humane and he got his faith back. Jack demonstrated that he had free will from the moment he saved his mother from suicide and when Cas touched Kelly's stomach. Jack learned what it means to protect your family from Cas, Sam and Dean. He burned his soul off to save not only his family, but the world. And yes, he is a Winchester, and shares all the traits as his three dads. They have all spread their wings, they have been possessed by other beings, they've died more than once and come back from the dead more than once, they went down dark paths and they each had a love interest that has tried to kill them, manipulate them and/or succeeded in killing them, oh and they have killed people, innocent or not innocent. My ideal ending for Jack is that he carries on with the family business. Him becoming the new god would be a disservice to Jack and to his mother. It would mean that his character was a prop all along. And it goes against what Kelly said about who he is, is NOT decided by fate or Lucifer or herself, it's Jack's choice. And I hope Billie isn't manipulating him. I actually like her.
Who was jacks love interest?¿ & I love the idea of him being the new God. I called it a few yrs ago tbvh. It's the only way the Winchesters would be rewarded for all the shit they've ever gone through. Do you really want them to keep fighting & dying for the rest of their lives??? That's pretty cold if you do. I love them & know they deserve to at last lay their weary heads to rest & find peace wen they're done!!
@@Splashstar216 Harper the necromancer from 14x06 was his love interest. And what I said about being the new god still stands. I never talked about Sam and Dean's endings. Mainly, because I care about Cas and Jack's story. Personally, Sam and Dean need to go their separate ways and go live their lives after they defeat Chuck. And Cas and Jack need to go off live life as father and son, going fishing. Or, the 4 of them can stop hunting, and start a new adventure.
I love the idea of Jack being the new god. And I feel he would do so willingly, and so it wouldn't be a violation of his character, nor would it make him a "prop." He is an exceedingly powerful being, and most likely the only one powerful enough to step into the role to save and preserve existence, which would be in imminent peril were Chuck to be destroyed. So, out of his genuine love for everyone and the world, I believe it would be his free choice to do so and no one else's. Or, maybe Dean gets an upgrade and becomes the new god? After all, Amara believes she and Dean are destined to become one, seeing as he was the one who freed her. And he also was tasked to fill the role of Death by OG Death that one time. Maybe OG Death was training and preparing him for something to come later?
I truly love that little look of confirmation Dean gives Cas. Dean always struggled with his love for Jack, mostly because of who he lost when Jack was born. But coming to terms with it, and including Cas is that just warms my heart
I'm just really glad we're all able to acknowledge fatherhood as something that isn't defined by blood or DNA or anything. It's nice, I'm going to cry over here now

Cas is Jack's father.
Cas is literally Jack's chosen father. They're similar in every way possible. But I agree next to Cas, Sam is the best father figure.
For me, the three of them are his dads.
He chose Castiel as his dad when he was in the womb. He even referred to him as one of his fathers when a dying girl asked him if he was his dad. "Yes, one of them"
Sam being the one who understands and supports him. He never saw evil in him and was the second one to know he would do good. Jack trusts him and they have a strong bond (even tho the show didn't show it)
And Dean, he was the most difficult one, but when he treated Jack and saw his intentions, he saw him as family too.
He's not family"
Jack was upset but he said he was okay.
Followed by Bobby Singer 💖
It's funny how the best parents on this show were never biological.
only one (1) entire dad hug from sam this is a scam
I'd probably blame this on Jared. I'd put money that any scene where Sam hugs Jack probably took a million takes to shoot.
Jared tends to be a huge prankster
Sam has had some beautiful moments, not necessarily hugging though
bro this video was so good. like the hugs are obvs already heartwarming and amazing but ur commentary... i laughed out loud at the squish noise for jack's face on number 2 and full on snorted when u had "power of love" in curly script. this was perfect
glad you liked the video :)
Sam, Dean and Cas, all at Lucifer, jacks real father: STAY AWAY FROM OUR SON
Dean always seems to have trouble showing affection but the way he hugged jack that one time. The utter love he poured into it GOD 😭😭😭
"When is that going to come back into play?" Oh, how bad that aged. Really.
😢
hoping we finally have a RIGHTEOUS dean and jack hug if (or when) dean forgives jack, and we need more sam and jack hugs.
if i don't get either of these, the writers can see me when i'm hanging from their ceiling to stare holes into their heads as they sleep.
The commentary and side notes in the vid are extremely immaculate 10/10
I live for this lmao
Woosh had me lol 😆 😂
I see Dean and Cas as Jack's dads. Sam gives off either "chill older brother or dorky, but loving uncle" vibes.
The captions... Perfection.
The way jack says “good, I feel good.” Is so cute! They way he said it reminds me of stitch.
“cas makes a deal with the empty (when is that going to come back into play?)” oh boy...
“castiel waiting for his turn” LMAOAOAOO look at his grinn
When it came up with that fancy font of,"The power of love" I died🤣
4:57 : or don't hug him. That's fine. 😭
Truly the Jack content we need in this time
"Cas makes a deal with the Empty (when is that going to come into play)?" THAT AGED PAINFULLY
1st hug was truly Golden!Jack's face was happier than all of them
"I lived bitch" pretty much sums up all of the winchesters lives
This whole thing was so wholesome thank you
I'm just really glad we're all able to acknowledge fatherhood as something that isn't defined by blood or DNA or anything. It's nice, I'm going to cry over here now
Father hood is defined by blood but it's being the dad that matters
Nah, fatherhood is a conceptual position. It should be something you become worthy of, not something you can achieve by accident
"when is that going to come into play?" WHY WOULD YOU ASK THAT 😭‼️
Sam should get a lot more credit for being a supportive fatherly figure to Jack and we would’ve seen a lot of the unexplored dynamics that’s clearly there but the writers were somehow hesitant about. (This is gonna be long so buckle up if you want to read it )
I agree that Cas gets the first place in the dad category but in terms of understanding what Jack is and has been through there’s no one better than Sam who can understand, relate or empathise with Jack. From the cursed birth and the guilt they carry about ‘causing’ their mother’s death. To the way that people treat him because of their power, the guilt they feel about loss control of their powers. Their link to Lucifer and his obsession with them. Being manipulated by Lucifer and being considered the only thing that can kill the all powerful Archangel Michael. Them being treated as an Antichrist.
Then in later plot points, Losing their soul which they sacrifice it to protect people, humanity (prevent the apocalypse). The guilt they feel for the things they’ve done in the aftermath of the loss of their soul. This leading to them wanting to go through great lengths to “purify“ themselves by sacrificing their lives to save their world (the demon trials and the last episodes of S15... spoiler)
Being ‘trained’ by a more powerful and seemingly more knowledgeable entity only to be betrayed by them and realising that they’ve been doing this for their own gain afterall (Billy and Ruby)
Hell, even Dean calling them a monster and considering them to be irredeemable but taking that weight with them because deep down they feel like they deserve it.
Having surrogate parents that are were better at parenting than their original father.
If you really look at it every major point Jack has gone through Sam has gone through.
Throughout season 14 I was incredibly frustrated about the parallels that were clearly there but were not addressed properly.
They tell us that Sam is Jacks go-to-guy but we don’t actually see them forming that bond. It was all tell no show. Hell even Cas was not considered to be his father by a lot of characters and only Sam and Dean were mentioned. Instead of showing the scenes that would’ve been extremely impactful we get lackluster scenes with Dean which I don’t mind but cmon (I’m assuming bc they wanted to show us that Chuck wanted Dean the father to kill his son Jack but it fell flat for me). This was remedied a little bit in s15 with more dad!Cas scenes but there is practically nothing with Sam.
All of Jack’s major plot points and arcs are the same if you think about it. Like I tell my friends Jack is Sam, cut from different cloths but of varying magnitudes. I think it would’ve made for extremely interesting dynamics and perspectives that could’ve come out if they at least showed a bit of their relationship instead of just mentioning it in a fleeting comment. why hide it?!
P.S: both had Hallucifer as well.
I never thought about the connection of them both losing their souls for a time. So many lost opportunities for them to connect!!
3:40 I cackled out loud
When you are born to three dads, an ex-demon, an angel and a moose, you know you’re gonna have a weird life.
that zoom in on dean's hand at 4:12 killed me
i’m binge watching these videos cause i’ve fallen down the spn rabbit hole again after november 5th
This is the kind of content I need in my life
Jack have three amazing father's who are always there for him. 😭 The feels are real.
"As a nephilim Jack has many powers including... 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒫𝑜𝓌𝑒𝓇 𝑜𝒻 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒" I DIED RIGHT THERE
your added commentary absolutely sends me every time
that one hug between dean and jack when jack came back to life using his soul was truest amazing the way he grabbed his neck
I’m sorry, I’m so sorry but the “(when is that going to come into play)” made me absolutely lose it oh my god
5:50 just me cuz I read it like “ Da pOwEr of lOoOOOOOoooOoovvvvvee 🤣
Thank you so much this gave me so much serotonin
Every time Cas and Jack hug, the way they both close their eyes is the sweetest thing I've ever seen. WE DESERVE MORE DADSTIEL. Bobby said Cas helped Jack, but Supernatural didn't give us any scenes :(
3:41
THAT SOUND EFFECT THO😂😂😂
I’m so happy that you put recaps cause a bitch be confused sometimes
The amount of time I spend on spn wiki trying to remember what the hell happened in this show...
The sound added at 3:41 when Cass puts his hands on Jack's face has me dying
Ok this is so not the point of this video but Dean at 4:47 has me feeling all sorts of ways 😩 the flannel, the right jeans, the bow legs, it’s all just *chef’s kiss*
Bro that last Destiel scene and the squish noise sent me
you met my taste in humor. this was hilarious, thanks :D
I’m just trying to imagine someone who’s not kept up with the show watching this video they would be so confused lmao
I'm currently watching Supernatural, I'm at only at Season 5 and I'm kinda confused about this Jack guy...
bella Spero it’s a long story, you’ll get to it eventually
Lol, the part that said "and lastly... Or don't hug hem that's fine (;-_-)ノ" That was funny lol 😂🤣
Also the sound effects when Cass brought Jack back 😂😂 *squish
A cinematic ~ m a s t e r p i e c e ~
3:38 to be clear this is a fantastic video that made me feel the feels tm but damn "(when is that going to come back into play) hits different
Best video I've seen in a while, your little comments made everything. I shouldn't have laughed so hard for the squish noise, I'm supposed to be mature
"cas making a deal with the empty (when is that coming to play)"
here we are, two years after.
Not all may agree hut I think Dean's hand to face when Jack came back from the dead was more emotionally potent for him than a normal hug would have been...
this vid's editing is one of the things i live for!!!!
3:40 That sound effect tho 😂😂😂 cracked me up
No matter how many times Dean denies it he really does consider Jack his son. Sam has ALWAYS had that bond with him!!!! Cas and Jack was father and son since before Jack was born!! So in truth he has 3 DAD'S and he LOVES them all!!!!!❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
YOO WHY DID YOU ADD IN THAT SQUISH SOUND 😭😭🤣🤣 I was so serious and in my feels than that happened
The swelling music when Cas walks into the room + the look on his face when he sees Dean’s himself again... bro...
I love that moment where Dean grabs Jack, looks in his eyes and then turns to Castiel. Whether it's to confirm with Cas that he's okay, or because he sees the same look in Jack that he does in Cas's eyes, it's really precious.
the #3 lazy recap got me 😂
I didn’t know I needed this until I saw it
Dean loved him so much that he was always scared to admit it........
1:52 Hello, I am baymax.
Come on we were all thinking it.
this video is as touching as hilarious. The comments are everything Thank You !
#3, Cas running the guy through like, "You don't touch my boy"
THE END IM WHEEZING
4:51 dude you don’t even understand how anxious the candle makes me, like I’m so nervous Dean is about to like catch on fire or some shit
The end is so much freaking perfect 😻😻😻
THIS COMMENTARY I’m WEZZING while crying
Number 2 is my favourite!!!!!! Absolute moment made
I AM SO GLAD YOU PUT A CAS-JACK HUG AT NUMBER ONE BECAUSE CAS LITERALLY PUT HIS LIFE ON THE LINE FOR JACK AND HE'S SO MUCH MORE DADLIKE THAN SAM AND DEAN
Coming back and watching this now to cope only to see the comment about Cas's deal with the Empty
CAS MADE A DEAL WITH THE EMPTY WHEN IS THAT COMING INTO PLAY. HAHAHAHAHAHHUHUHUHUHU
I loved this hahaha the commentary was 10/10
