I've never heard of this "holding the room" thing. I know it was a strat for farming Captans, but I haven't seen anyone use it for Dext Base (at least on ship 2 JP). We generally have no issue spawning a Trial and clearing it with 4 bars. Additionally worth mentioning: MOST instances of PSE dropping 'when the last enemy of a trial dies' is generally not the 5% drop chance, but another enemy dying. The way PSE works is that each mob normally has a 10% chance to increase PSE gauge and a 10% chance to decrease PSE gauge. Mobs which are part of the E or T locations have this chance changed. During E and T the decrease is only 5% instead of 10%. This means that an AoE which kills both the final Trial mob, and another mob can still cause a decrease. Additionally, I've seen people kill Rappies, then try to clear a Trial (such as Captan which has a long death animation), and then during Captan's death animation, the Rappies die for the 2nd time (when they burrow underground), and the Rappy's burrowing causes a decrease. This is a PSA. Please DO NOT clear Trials while Rappies are half-dead, and be careful when there are non-trial mobs around. Pay attention to your map as well on your way to the T and make sure you're not being followed by enemies. Accidentally bringing enemies into the T location often causes other players to accidentally kill them with large AoE attacks they're trying to 'quickly clear the Trial with' and then the bar goes down and people are sad because 'brain off' content actually needs to be played with your brain 'on' prior to the PSE starting. I see this ALL the time from people who think they know what they're doing, think they're the best PSE farmer, think they're good at whatever, say they don't care but then complain when they don't get a burst, etc. both in-game and on various streams. Additional notes: Ranger: DO NOT; I repeat, DO NOT use Homing Darts. You will hit NOTHING because everything will die before your shots have left the barrel. If you must use a Rifle, use Razing Shot. Otherwise, switch to Launcher. Waker: DO NOT; I repeat, DO NOT hold down the button for Fredran Breath. You lose half your effectiveness from this doing a stupid spin animation that's completely unnecessary. Spam tapping the button instead. You'll thank me later. If you want to play a class that has "hold the button" "brain off" farming; Hunter (Sword - Streak Calibur with Type 3 Craft), Fighter (Twin Daggers - Helzeus Coat with Type 2 Craft), and Ranger (Launcher - Fear Eraser with Type 1 Craft) are all there for you to do so. Note for Br players: Buff Bow? Maybe a Tech Arts Craft with bigger AoE on Frenzy Squib will help with mobbing at least? Note for Bo players: The cost of doing top DPS in bossing content is that you do nothing in mobbing content. I'm sorry for your loss. Highly Recommended (optimal): Note: All class combinations not including Force should be using EX Enemy Felled PP Gain Wa/Fo - Use Harmonizer and spam Fredran Breath in PSEs. Ra/Wa - Use a Rifle/Harmonizer mutliweapon, spam Fredran Breath in PSEs but can also use Rifle to apply Blight Rounds (Weak Bullet in JP). Hu/Wa and Wa/Hu - At 5 players or less, use Fredran Breath spam. At 6 players or more, use Calibur Streak Type 3 Craft holding. Gu/Wa - Use Fredran Breath for 80% of the burst, then use Aimless Rain to build 81->81->150 chain for quick-killing the boss after the burst ends. Wa/X and X/Wa - You have EX Enemy Felled PP Gain and you wanted to level another class so you multiclassed with Waker for Fredran Breath access. Good job! Recommended (not optimal, but it works): Note: All class combinations not including Force should be using EX Enemy Felled PP Gain Hu/Fo - You can use Zonde to build PSE gauge, but when it comes to clearing a Trial, you are the MOST-LIKELY person to accidentally kill a straggler enemy and cause a drop. This usually means you'll be leeching the Trial while waiting for the PSE to spawn. It's only good to attack if you've confirmed there's no stragglers around. Please be careful with your wide AoE (on all weapons). Fi/Fo - As long as you don't multiweapon your DS and TD together, you'll be fine. DS is good for mobbing. TD is good for clearing a Trial. DS whirlwind staying active while you're clearing a Trial with TD can cause accidents so it's good to avoid it. Either weapon can be used for mobbing. DS's Unchained Circle (motionless) has a MUCH larger AoE range than visually present and will hit everything in a PSE from the center. It's about twice the size of whirlwind stage 3, but a little bit smaller. Ra/Fo - Using Talis' Spread Feather as a substitute for Waker's Fredran Breath while still being able to apply Blight Rounds (Weak Bullet in JP). This is usually for people who want to play Ra/Wa but don't have EX Enemy Felled PP Gain. Gu/Fo - Same as Gu/Wa but you use Spread Feather instead of Fredran Breath. Br/Fo - Use Spread Feather. You should have enough money to buy an EX Enemy Felled PP Gain after about... 1/5th of a burst, then you can swap to Br/Wa to level Waker because the only reason you're playing this combination is because you didn't have Waker leveled, but you needed money to buy the augment that lets you level it, right? Bo/Fo - Same as Br/Fo but replace Br/Wa with Bo/Wa. Sl/Fo - Say it with me. I will not spam Waving Rigel. I will not spam Waving Rigel. I will not spam Waving Rigel. Good. Now use Leaping Regulus while holding forwards motion. Not Recommended (if you really like the class and can't be bothered to play anything else, go ahead, but just know that you're trolling and better players WILL ditch you for better kill rates): Br/X and X/Br - Unless the X is Waker and you're leveling Br, this is trolling. Braver does literally noting in terms of AoE, and don't give me that "but Iris Gale..." BS. It's weak. Only the third stage does anything remotely useful to a PSE which means; at best, you're contributing half of the time. Oh, you thought I'd forget about Bow? Don't worry, your charged normals and uncharged Frenzy Squib aren't helping either. You're doing about a stage 2 Iris Gale on repeat, at best, which is only about 50% of a PSE area to begin with. Bo/X and X/Bo - Unless the X is Waker and you're leveling Bo, this is trolling. Soaring Blades (Dual Blades in JP) don't have the AoE to cut it compared to any of the recommended options. Jet Boots are in the same category. You can try. You won't succeed. Not in PSE Bursts at least. X/Y - X and Y are any class combination that does not include Waker or Force.
Personally i use EX enemy fell pp gain and Wa/Hu. Tri-shield, Hunter Physiques and Hot Marmello Parry (can be held) can remove knockdowns from annoying lava bombs falling from the sky.
Fear Erasure range boost also widens the beam slightly allowing you to go crosshair mode on one side of the burst a bit away and just sweep it back and forth.
5:28 Ha ha, I sometimes catch myself using JP terminology when in Global too like this! Old habits are hard to break😅 Thanks for the video though. Didn't know about the non-Waker classes and how they could farm too.
krono is kind of right about dex and retem but only tiny different in sec but add up in end and farm these area most common iteam is alts soul 1 and dotz soul 1 most drop all area stack then 999 in iteam clear out 100 space or 200, so max iteam carry 65k so think of it like this 99,900 iteam at 100 that move in temporay drop sell for 10 meseta outside market. 65k of them equal 650k meseta plus extra and then in dex base 1 hour equal 3200sec know if take 1.5mil to 2 mil get 468 a sec or 625 sec, then add those with those iteam you make 828 sec and even free play people can make lot of meseta if you do this.
I never could put up with PSE grinding for a long time. It's so dull. XD I hope that M.A.R.S. makes Combat sectors/Crimson Realm a bit more tolerable, given we've got an upgrade to Dext coming (though there will be another area as well, it seems). However, I do have a sub character that's good with AOE specifically because of his odd weapon choice, so I may use him if I ever do this more frequently. On Gunblade, both the Reaping Regulus and Waving Rigel have range-extenders on them though their other customs (multi-shockwaves and critical blade activation) are also very effective for their own reasons.
@@ExpertRam In the context of dext base and PSE for meseta, held fredran breath is too slow and it also doesn't pierce enemies. By the time you've locked on the enemies are most likely dead and you're shooting out two attacks at the one Stratis or Metius on the field. So while yes its "great" if you want to be lazy farming there are way better options to just hold a button down like T1 Fear Eraser or Rigel. Or use a controller with turbo options to spam tapped breath.
There are many classes that actually do not work due to how mob HP scaling works. Mob HP scales with number of players nearby, and the scaling only starts when the mob aggros people. For 8 people, the multiplier is 2x. Therefore it is actually important to one shot most mobs to be efficient in dext base farming, this means PAs like Zonde would NOT work. Even if one people using zonde will slow everyone else down, because if your first attack cannot oneshot the mobs, you actually end up "healing" them because their HP scaling start to work. Also, Joof guide has many, many mistakes, not sure if they are intended. Even if one person not doing optimized build will slow the entire room down by roughly 200k~300k per hour. Getting a sechetyl set is already cheap enough, because people can start with unwix 1 and use fodders dropped in dext base to slowly work towards unwix 5. Sechetyl unwix 5 set with full EX, LC and Triyals, is better than Wingard with BiS augments in dext base. Best PA is tapping fredran breath, if people cannot do it, next best thing to do is cover half of the area by holding down type 1 fear eraser with Z mode (this usually require another ranger to cover the other half).
again this is hyper optimization. none of this is a requirement for farming just as a point of optimization. having to cast a skill once or twice more isnt the end of the world
I've seen you on krp's vid before it was taken down before lol. Personally I'd just tell people to level a Waker because it's strong and easy and the most effective. No idea why other options need to exist when they could potentially require more investment/effort and less effective too, the only explanation is people are lazy to level another class other than their main.
@@KronoKatastrophy It is actually not bad. Getting a sechetyl unwix 1 harmonizer can be done via rerolling add preset skill lv1, enhance is quite cheap with current event and augments are literally free with EX augments, LC and Triyals. In an hyper optimized group we earn over 3M meseta per hour during this premium pso2 day, with rdr 100% 1h, meseta earned +25% (+50% would be even better), triboost 20% and rappy fritter. With same amount of boost, people with Argenku set can only earn about 1.5M. The payback period for making such gear is short enough to justify the cost, and this does not include the fact that people with Argenku series make everyone else in the room making ~300k/hr.
I just want to know if throwing, and passthrough tapping makes a difference. With 7 to 8 peeps does it really matter if holding down the button vs. tapping makes a difference. If so, how much is it worth. Carpal tunnel worth 50 to 500k an hour. has anyone tested this.
