Thank you ladies for this timely video. I actually am the lady that you warned in your message. I just purchased a ticket to Gambia to meet/marry a guy there who actually may not be a 'bumpster' but why go there and take that chance on the unknown. In the last 4 months that he has courted me by phone, I changed my mind and 'broken up' with him and then I came back because he is ingrained in my heart. I am 65, childless and no family...but you guys saved me from possible financial ruin !!!
Glad she shared her story. Hopefully it'll help someone else. If you wouldn't fall for it in the UK, USA, or where ever your from, don't do it anywhere else, remember love isn't a price tag
When you started your story, I new straight away it was going to end up like this.. Nothing new. These issues with the older women and younger men, is not new. Especially with the white women...I can tell you many, similar stories like this.. So sad....
The tale of the Gambian man who deceived others, by claiming his wife was his sister in order to take a second wife is indeed a compelling narrative. It serves as a cautionary reminder that if one is not open to non-traditional relationships, itâs important to remain vigilant. Such stories highlight complex social dynamics, and the diverse ways in which individuals navigate relationships within their cultural contexts.
Its sad but unfortunately very true. I've seen it myself during my visits to the Gambia. It happens because of all the impoverishment in the Gambia and people are trying to survive. Although i understand why people do this, no one, (especially us mature women who have overcome sooo much to get through life) wants to be used like this. THANKS for the warning ladies. I'm sharing this video.
Itâs so common. When I visited this young man was telling me what happens regarding this topic . I understand that the wives are in on it because itâs a matter of survival
Nah, she was desperately lonely since losing her husband. I got my son to treat me like a queen & cook me delicious food. I donât need a man his age about me in that way. I get the âsweet talkâ but I find it really cringeworthy
We always say never say never, as many have said this and they end up with a young husband/boyfriend. There are many reasons why and as long as everyone is over the age of consent and happy, do you think it matters? We have a video on this questionð
Heard this story before A documentary has been made about this very thing All nations and all ages affected I went to Tanzania and saw some very old white men with young Tanzanian women
This is very sad for the lady with her crazy love illusions. Let's not judge her. That man misused her neediness and cheated on his wife. Hope the story is a warning for others and thank you for sharing. Happy New Year!
This is a common occurance in The Gambia. The Gambian wives will go along with this scam because it guarantees them with a good income. Plus many of them are used to their husbands having more than one wife. Better a rich one than a poor one.
Sad but this can happen when he or she works nights under your nose! I know a man that has two families in the UK, Black British . We all meed love sorry it ended like that for her. But there are lots of positive stories. Let's talk about them also. Black women are being overlooked alot of the time in the UK. On your own with Yr money and the TV, that's not life!!!
Someone asked me if I know one of my neighbours. She is 40 and married a Gambian that's 29. He was only in the UK for 6 months before he ran off with a Gambian woman who he was with for 9 years. This marriage scam happens weekly in the UK. Jamaican or Nigerian men with fat English women.
What shocks me is that the same woman in the UK would not entertain the idea of being with a man from her community under the exact same circumstances or tolerate 10% of what occured. I'm glad she is ok and nothing happened to her. But if a UK Male was to ask her for financial assistance, sisters be honest what would the majority reply be.
I think some allow grace because these men are in different circumstances not as bad as the UK. In the UK we view the men as having no excuse because there are more opportunities.
My mom is 55 and went to Gambia and married a man she been talking to on social media and she talks about how he spoils her but they are rushing to get him to America and I donât accept it or approve of it I think he may be using her but everyone says how charming and nice he is
@@sistersinternational779 I agree totally. Sister have to spread awareness that all that glitters is not gold. To many people arrive in the gambia and is asked, have you been here before. Once they know that, they know they can target them for a scam
I have been going to Gambia for 20 years , I still have not meet a honest man so I just assume none of them is honest . I have meet , not many some honest women.
As I listened I found myself thinking how sad it was that this coming of age advice, usually given to young girls, was actually aimed at age 50+ women, and that it was necessary. Pray God I never find myself in that position.
When visiting The Gambia do not stay at Red Hotel Tanji Highway or eat at the restaurant. They allow their guest to be harassed by the dogs they own. Some have been bitten. It might be dangerous, use caution.
@sistersinternational779 Some age gaps one unwilling accept, very big age gaps are unacceptable and a case of folkes taking advantage of and or corrupting each other, for one's lack of adequate self sustainance or another's illusional need of selfish romance. It is also a defiance of societal norms anywhere ð
@sistersinternational779 I could have seen it am not sure I will check again but in most cases I would not respond with any view point it would often be a disruption to your narrative. Dating and messing around is forbidden for most Gambians according to Islam also every religion on earth forbids fornication and adultery but most do not comply, hence the dwindling moral standards and disintergration of the family unit therein and globally.

Such an interesting conversation. Us ladies need to be more careful and not ignore the red flags. Thanks for sharing.

For the average love scam, ladies please be aware that it's a family business in many of these countries.
So true.. poverty sometimes makes people behave in this way

Sometimes in these situations, the wives are aware, but they know their lifestyle is about to improve, so they are willing parties to the deception.
â@@nzingharising6040Yes, I understand.
More likely the wife was aware

He was only in the UK for 6 months before he ran off with a Gambian woman who he was with for 9 years.

Gambians do it too and the women look old enough to be their mothers.

The majority reply would be no. There are definately some sucessful relationships, but we need to be mindful of what is occurring in a lot of cases.
I think some allow grace because these men are in different circumstances not as bad as the UK. In the UK we view the men as having no excuse because there are more opportunities.

The folkes doing young man snatching will be upset if their sons are 'love' snatched by older women.
Maybe or maybe not if love is involved and not deceit
