Great video and wonderful to see that the Belgians are still proud to be Belgians generations later!.

I'm touched that these people have not forget their origin even after multiple generations . They also broth the Belgian pulling horse along with them according to the pictures .It remembers of my grandparents who were farmers with those horses. I have Flemisch and Walloon ancestors myself . (Even Julius Caesar was impressed by these horses and people of Belgica )
    Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪

Belgian known as "penny pinching" ... well actually, here in Belgium, that's what Dutch people are known for ... Belgians aren't known to be "penny pinching".

Well I'm Walloon and I'm definitely a penny pincher. Remember that Belgium has more than once been top of the European ranking of countries where residents use the most coupons. We like to spend as little as possible. But I agree the Dutch have that reputation more than we do.

LOL, those brick faced houses are exactly like houses over here in Belgium from that age ... there are actually somewhat the same in my village here still ...

I wonder if thatś the same for the roads hahaha

So far the names are French (Walloon ) rather than Flemish.

  • @violettabicycletta331
    @violettabicycletta331 ปีที่แล้ว

The majority of Belgians speak Flemish ( similar to Dutch ) but the majority means 60 % of flemishto 40 % of Walloons.

  • @violettabicycletta331

There is no Belgian language ... does not exist - it' s Walloon ( patoi - of old French - or Flemish or German) - Belgians are family minded and hard working ... not penny pinching although in those days they had no choice !. I am a Walloon.

LOL Antwerp ... but they're speaking French ... LOL ... talking about inaccuracy ...
For the record: In Antwerp, Flanders, people speak Dutch, like the majority of Belgian citizens.

Wallonia having no coast and hence no seaport, Antwerp was the starting point of their voyage, not that of the whole journey obviously.

There's always an ignorant deutch speaking prick fed from its younger age with nationalism who has to shime in with imbecile comments.

@@alphaxray9211 Not Young, 40yo, phd in history, not a nationalist, I’m a Limburger in Flanders, so that would be hypocrisy. By the way ... it’s DUTCH, not deutch 😬

@@Krizla4 Dutch? So go speak your Flemish in Amsterdam...let them laugh at you! Dutch not German ..... except in 40 (dear doctor in History)

    • @Krizla4

@@polpersonne9113 Actually I visit Amsterdam a lot ... it's full of immigrants ... most of them speak English ... a real local from Amsterdam can perfectly understand a Flemish person who speaks standard Dutch. We're part of the same "language union", "de Nederlandse taalunie", there's NO DIFFERENCE, only the dialects and accents are slightly different ...
In 40-45 the used language still was Dutch in Holland ... Germans never germanized Dutch culture. Read a book.
