cannot believe the lack of views and upvotes on this video. As a massive Sabbath fan and guitarist i want to thank you for this incredible video. your guitar is stellar and so is your playing! i look forward to rewatching this video and learning these riffs. Fantastic work my friend, you have earned a new subscriber and i look forward to watching more of your covers/medley's of my other favorite bands. Respect, rock on.
You can definitely tell pantera really viewed black sabbath as an influencer, with the heavier distortion and vibrato I can totally imagine Dime playing this! Amazing.
Absolutely Epic. I can't believe TH-cam hasn't served this up to me before. And I'm a subscriber. Maybe I missed it. I just did a few 10 minute guitar medleys - I can't imagine almost 40 minutes! And the consistency is amazing. Great work!
Outstanding. Tony got the first dibs on all the best riffs. Here is a great example among hundreds.. 12:40 This entire thing is killer and record worthy.
You are the man and you entertain all of us with your skill. I'm 38 and have played for 25 years and where I live it's far and few between under the sun that anyone plays anything. What you can do with Sabbath was an honor. Those arrangements were spot on considering you were dealing with the master of tempo changes.
Dude, you're welcome man. After hearing this and watching it you could crash at my house any day. Stranger Bloody Stranger! I actually caught a guitar pick from Iommi in 2005. I believe it was an Ozzfest. I was up front between the singers mic where Ozzy would be and Tony a bit to my right. I knew where to be lol. They came up out from under the stage with smoke and the War Pigs siren blaring. I'll never forget being 3 feet away(that's what it felt like, more like 6 or 7) from the man who shaped my childhood. Black trench coat, dark purple tinted glasses, pants all in black, same as the shirt, the giant golden cross of course. The guitar pick was a black Gibson medium with the word Iommi printed on the back if anyone was curious what he used. I find pinch harmonics on medium picks a bit easier. Edit..You crazy Devil slipping in 28:35. You know your shit my man. Anyone that's into Sabbath and understanding riff structure and digging out unfamiliar chords to crush the casuals with could blow them away. It's not going anywhere. The world of radio broadcasting weren't ready for what was to come after Paranoid. I doubt the elite would like War Pigs or maybe Electric funeral all that much. It's hated because it's the truth but the truth will come out because of greed for the potential revenue it will make so they allow it and hope you ignore it. They want you listening to their top ten hip-hop artists that are manufactured and chosen. They bring no real talent to the table and just accept what their cult can produce. The real talent, the band Black Sabbath weren't given their just dues, that's why The Writ is it. The last song to end their prime. The world heard Led Zeppelins entire discography while only playing about 9 if that from arguably the greatest and most influential band of all time yours truly. There was no term of metal when Sabbath did their thing. I view them as a hard rock band fused with some down tuned darkening riffs that innovated thousands of Metal bands, including the best ones. The greatest metal ever done imo is 80's Metallica, the greatest rock band is AC/DC. Black Sabbath are in their own league. They could debut now because their sound is timeless and not outdated, not their first 6 at least. Their recognition is rising now more than ever because everyone who was famous during the later days held Sabbath as the main band being their inspiration. It was also Cliff Burton's favorite band which says a lot because more people now have access with our current tech so you can listen to them anywhere now. Message boards gathered a solid community behind the band and all the die-hard fans had similar feelings about those albums. No more Iron Man and Paranoid a thousand times because they have a boatload of other shit that's just as good or better. Not that those songs are bad but c'mon now. You nailed Hole in the Sky, it was more like Hole efuckinshit. Only the Megalomaniacs are a friend of mine because that Megalomania Sabotage riff just kicked 7.7 billion asses including the cloaked ufo's that run this place and I doubt they even knew what riff that song came out of. The Psycho Man riff is cleaning up the bloody infidel's carnage as the destroyer of doom emerges. Sabbath is a crowned jewel of our planets creativity. We're not all sheep but we should be sending this shit out to space before it's too late. The first song can be Into The Void, quite fitting. Sorry for my long rant but it's been festering inside for years and needed out. The only fans that are this deep into it are all online. I have one bud that lives an hour away, we grew up together, he was a few years older than me. He's the only superfan that I've personally known or grew up with.
I actually recorded this Sabbath stuff using a pick I got at a Sabbath gig in ‘98. I was supposed to show it in the video, but forgot to flash it infront of the camera in the end... oh well
Really enjoyed listening to this. You play with feeling and it comes through man. I grew up in the '70s and remember when a lot of Sabbath records hit the record stores. It all sounds fresh here. This wants to make me play more and learn some of these awesome riffs. Cheers!
I don't know why but your videos are eyes catching and magnetic, every time I start to watch one of them, I always go to the end of it, doesn't care how long it is! Your covers without voice give the music more strength, maybe the contnuos flaw is the secret... maybe your hands! Keep it up!
It'd be great if you could do a video covering other era's of Sabbath too, like dio, gillan, hughes, Martin and then the heaven and hell years too. Some great riffs during that time. Love this video, needs more views.
You got a new fan here for sure! You are so talented, and it's nice to here my favorite music without vocals. I hope you will record some Emperor and Dissection or Dark Funeral or Marduk songs, or any more black metal. Keep it up man!
+Bertil Svensson Thanx again! Sure, Emperor and Dissection are high on the list of things to do. Got a bunch of covers with vocals coming too, so stay tuned!👍🏼
The most underrated metal band is Death. A Chuck Schuldiner medley on top of the Sabbath one could ignite a ferocious storm of unorganized chaotic neck injuries. Chuck, Dimebag and now Malcom are still sending people to the hospital.
Nice Medley, man. Black Sabbath’s dope. I play bass guitar and Geezer Butler’s one of my all time favorite bass players. So yeah, your guitar shreds and bass playing for this Medley (including the part of “Evil Woman” by Crow) is amazing. Other than that, Keep it up man:).
Wonderful. I´ve seen it hundreds times. I´ve tune my guitar to c#/db with a set of 11-14-18-28-38-49 to learn from you. I´m cuious about what strings gauge you use. Thank you a lot and please keep doing the best guitar covers on youtube.👍👍👍 I would love to hear complete playthrough of each song
@@Microdomus Thank you very much. I was feeling low tension mostly in the 6 th string. Now have complete sense what I see in the video. Thank you again for gime back Black Sabbath and Tony Iommi. With the quality standard that you get I think we are no gonna have much content from you. Pity. Guys like you make me play more and better.
Man this is amazing. Deserves more attention for sure, very inspiring bro. And I gotta ask where you got that beautiful V! Pretty sure it's fenrir eating Odin during ragnarok? Correct me if I'm wrong lol. Great shit dude \m/
Thanx! It’s just an ordinary Gibson Flying V, just heavily customized by Hutchinson Guitars Concepts. Check out his page on FB. And yes, that’s Odin getting his ass handed to him 👍🏼
Beautiful banjo, & great tone, too. I need to relisten to my Sabbath collection. Never noticed how Judas Priest stole their "Breaking the law"-riff from "dirty women" (5:15).
I agree with what someone else said..... this is the best on TH-cam besides the gods themselves. Great tribute! 1 question..... what kind of guitar is that? I love it!

This video is the best sabbath thing on youtube except black sabbath itself. Amazing work man. Keep it up!

25:34 and thats when i was consumed by darkness and driven by the forces of the devil.
Thats the moment when heavy metal as we know it was created.

What a way to start!
