Wow ... a bow on the xylophone! The group that Jonsi put together for his solo work is amazing (especially the drummer!); hope we see / here more of them in future!
Es wird nie langweilig und das gestrichene Xylophon ist natürlich immer wieder ein Hingucker (und Hinhörer) - ein großartiges Stück Musik von Jónsi und seinen Kollegen
Here's the lyrics, and the English translation: Hengilás Og við horfumst í ókunn augu Samt höfum þekkst alla tíð Undir vökulum augnaráðum létumst Stöndum nú tvístíga Reyni að grafa upp og hjartgæsku og raun Reyni að brjótast inn Reyni að bora á, og saga hengilásinn En allt kemur fyrir ekki neitt Kominn í niðurlot Veit ekki hvað plan skal taka Kominn í ráðaþrot Reyni að grafa upp og hjartgæsku og raun Reyni að brjótast inn Reyni að bora á, og saga hengilásinn Padlock We look into foreign eyes Yet we have always known each other We passed away under a watchful eye Now we stand hesitantly Try to dig out warmth and trials Try to break in Try to drill, and saw the padlock But all for nothing I have lost Don't know what plan to take I don't know what to do Try to dig out warmth and trials Try to break in Try to drill, and saw the padlock Taken from lyricstranslate.com/en/hengil%C3%A1s-padlock.html#ixzz3By8WorfN Taken from lyricstranslate.com/en/hengil%C3%A1s-padlock.html#ixzz3By8QjpHW
This is gorgeous! I always know anything Jonsi does will be...It's on my favs-thankx!!! Love the whole album. I just wish that the camera showed his boyfriend, Alex's beautiful face. If he'd been a little closer to Jonsi, like he was at the concert I was at, it 'd been easier to see him.
Making the bits of the xylophone vibrate. I don't know any technical terms, I don't know what anything on the xylophone is called, I just know that that's what he's doing.
I shall view this everyday until I make the number of views turn a million, and then after that I shall still keep on viewing it until the day that I die...
I'd rather not know what he was saying. Jonsi lets his listeners give their own interpretations of his songs. I mean, yes, you can find the lyrics.. But I'd rather not know. I find it more incredibly beautiful without knowing.
Don't complain about the views, my friends. Good taste isn't viral and it doesn't rake in hordes of people. In fact, at the risk of sounding like an asshole elitist, we should be glad things work out this way.
I know I am 13 years late, but I am immensely grateful I come across this masterpiece!

My favorite song of his, outside of Sigur Ros.
A heart skipping moment. A wave,a tear,a psalm.

Just impossibly beautiful!
I could listen to him forever
Here's the lyrics, and the English translation:
Hengilás
Og við horfumst í ókunn augu
Samt höfum þekkst alla tíð
Undir vökulum augnaráðum létumst
Stöndum nú tvístíga
Reyni að grafa upp og hjartgæsku og raun
Reyni að brjótast inn
Reyni að bora á, og saga hengilásinn
En allt kemur fyrir ekki neitt
Kominn í niðurlot
Veit ekki hvað plan skal taka
Kominn í ráðaþrot
Reyni að grafa upp og hjartgæsku og raun
Reyni að brjótast inn
Reyni að bora á, og saga hengilásinn
Padlock
We look into foreign eyes
Yet we have always known each other
We passed away under a watchful eye
Now we stand hesitantly
Try to dig out warmth and trials
Try to break in
Try to drill, and saw the padlock
But all for nothing
I have lost
Don't know what plan to take
I don't know what to do
Try to dig out warmth and trials
Try to break in
Try to drill, and saw the padlock

Awsome~!!!

them vocals.
One listen every day... anyone else?
Not gonna lie, I was hoping Jónsi was covering Pantera.
Amen to that....
If an alien race came to Earth and wanted to see the best of humanity and human culture, I would show them this. Absolutely beautiful!
oh how i wish i knew what he was saying.. probably beautiful.
Happy fews !

Ditto!
Ahhh, I see.
I hate to break the heavenly mood, but I have to ask...what is that man with the bows doing?
This is music sent from God.
will only take 2740 years :P worth it tho
Hello Alex!
Don't complain about the views, my friends. Good taste isn't viral and it doesn't rake in hordes of people. In fact, at the risk of sounding like an asshole elitist, we should be glad things work out this way.
Yes, also the shares from such an appreciative audience are much more kind and uplifting ...
It's a Óbó? :)
Yes M...Tool does the same..no lyrics in their disc,,,they want the listener to use their brain and interpret on their own,,,,
Why crap like Gangnam style is popular? Why people don't appreciate THIS instead?
Азамат Ушанов mass media is destroying the USA.
