I know I am 13 years late, but I am immensely grateful I come across this masterpiece!

Wow ... a bow on the xylophone! The group that Jonsi put together for his solo work is amazing (especially the drummer!); hope we see / here more of them in future!

My favorite song of his, outside of Sigur Ros.

    A heart skipping moment. A wave,a tear,a psalm.

Es wird nie langweilig und das gestrichene Xylophon ist natürlich immer wieder ein Hingucker (und Hinhörer) - ein großartiges Stück Musik von Jónsi und seinen Kollegen

Here's the lyrics, and the English translation:
    Hengilás
Og við horfumst í ókunn augu
    Samt höfum þekkst alla tíð
    Undir vökulum augnaráðum létumst
    Stöndum nú tvístíga
Reyni að grafa upp og hjartgæsku og raun
    Reyni að brjótast inn
Reyni að bora á, og saga hengilásinn
En allt kemur fyrir ekki neitt
    Kominn í niðurlot
Veit ekki hvað plan skal taka
    Kominn í ráðaþrot
Reyni að grafa upp og hjartgæsku og raun
    Reyni að brjótast inn
Reyni að bora á, og saga hengilásinn
    Padlock
    We look into foreign eyes
Yet we have always known each other
We passed away under a watchful eye
    Now we stand hesitantly
Try to dig out warmth and trials
    Try to break in
Try to drill, and saw the padlock
    But all for nothing
    I have lost
Don't know what plan to take
I don't know what to do
Try to dig out warmth and trials
    Try to break in
Try to drill, and saw the padlock

This is gorgeous! I always know anything Jonsi does will be...It's on my favs-thankx!!! Love the whole album. I just wish that the camera showed his boyfriend, Alex's beautiful face. If he'd been a little closer to Jonsi, like he was at the concert I was at, it 'd been easier to see him.

Making the bits of the xylophone vibrate.
I don't know any technical terms, I don't know what anything on the xylophone is called, I just know that that's what he's doing.

I'd rather not know what he was saying. Jonsi lets his listeners give their own interpretations of his songs. I mean, yes, you can find the lyrics.. But I'd rather not know. I find it more incredibly beautiful without knowing.

Don't complain about the views, my friends. Good taste isn't viral and it doesn't rake in hordes of people. In fact, at the risk of sounding like an asshole elitist, we should be glad things work out this way.
