Fully agree with your review. Perfectly done as always. I use and love my AirPods Pro for overall convenience and comfort. But when I listen to music I can’t use them because that’s no music. Therefore I purchased the EQs and love them so much. Can’t listen to music anymore with my Airpods. That’s just another universe.
Agreed with everything you had to say; I’m keeping both the EQs and AirPod Pros. The EQs are for Music. The Pros are for everything else. With my love of both music and tech, I’m now a two bud guy and don’t regret making the investment.
Hey Jeffery, yes. Ideally, the EQ/AirPods Pro is a good combination. I sent back the EQ because it wouldn’t connect to more than one device at once (it can remember, but not connect). That’s a HUGE flaw for me. Also I own the AirPods Max, and enjoying how full the sound stage is with spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. So somehow, the EQ became somewhat redundant in this regard. But if like you, it’s strictly earbuds, then that’s a good combo.
great review, about the spatial audio, I had a pair of airpods pro and dolby atmos on apple music sounded above average, when I tried with my bang and olufsen H3 and HX headphones, it sounded a lot worse than just normal stereo. Also tried dolby atmos with a pair of beats fit pro and it also sounded worse than the bang and olufsen headphones. Then I tried with my sennheiser ie200 in ear monitors and on most tracks spatial audio sounded amazing. Way better than the other headphones and earphones mentioned. So I think it depends on the certain factors of the earphones/ headphones you are using. I ordered a pair of Bang and Olufsen EQ today as they are reduced in price and wanted to replace my HX as they are too much effort for me to carry around and needed something that would fit in my pocket. I wanted to go for the newer EX but didn't really see a point as its over double the price for not many new features and changes. Can't wait to try them out. I know the ANC isn't class leading but I care more about sound quality.
Now they added with the latest software update multipoint connection and skip track forward/backwards. It works pretty well and makes it one of the best Earbuds out there imo. I know they are expensive - but really worth it - especially for sound and build quality. Super Kanal und weiter so 😊
B&O may indeed be one of the best TWS out there right now for sound, but where a lot of brands go wrong is believing that people buy TWS just for sound . Yes people want pretty good sound, but that's really the convenience people are looking for with TWS, otherwise $50 wired headphones sound better than 99% of TWS over $500. And that Apple understood very well. Ps: please test the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro 🙏🏽.
I did call quality test outside in noisy environment with EQ vs AirPod pro and EQ sounds much better. However I decided not to buy the EQ due to “ugly” size. It seems to me that EQ is built on E8 with additional features ending more hardware with bigger size - not real high tech
I don't think there's much of any reason to get the Airpod 3. As for the Beoplay EQ, I find the look and the price to be deal-breakers. They're bulky and stick out of the ear. And for the price, I can purchase the Sony WF-1000XM4 and a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro for the gym and more active wear. The EQ are not going to age well for B&O- I think they're a bit of a miss.

The bang and Olufsen EQ after the firmware update have mad these the king of sound quality

The AirPods is everything but music listening. Unless you love spatial audio with music.

Great comparison. Totally agree with the EQ volume being on the low side and nearly everything else - at least with the Pros. Don’t own the 3’s.

AirPods Pro is not for sound quality, really. You will enjoy it for how it seamlessly blends into the Apple Ecosystem.

So, EQ aren’t ugly in size as you’ve written. They are call Fat fit by design

I think the design department was a bit lazy with the EQ. The sound department, however, nailed it!
