When I listen to Simon tell these stories of the Great Masters, he makes it sound as if the Composer's whispered their stories into his ear.

Amadeus is my all time favorite movie. Hearing this being narrated by the one and only Schikaneder himself Mr. Simon Callow brings a wide smile to my face. "Write it down. It's no use to anyone in your head." Fantastic episode. Fantastic everything.

Austrians celebrate the first minutes of a new year listening and dancing to Strauss Danubewalz. almost every Austrian radio is switched on for the countdown and at point zero the walz is played.

Documentaries on Arts & Culture, restores my faith in humanity, which is saying a lot since there's not much hope for humanity left in this world.

Your debut timing couldn't be better. Busy planning a long vacation in Austria with 10 days in Wien and a week in Salzburg, Bad Ischl, Saalfelden (childhood home for 3 years). Have always been deeply moved by 'classical' music, but most moved by Mozart. Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major, K216, never fails to being tears to my eyes. It's like a conversation between young lovers, one trying to convince the other of their devotion. The Serenade No. 10 in B-flat major, K361, also sticks in my mind so deep that I 'carry' both with me every day. Thank you for this inspirational video. More please!
