The use of boundary fill was amazing! Thank you

Am I right in describing boundary fill command as a "split body with selectable sections"? I could never wrap my head around this command until this video... I hope.

I think your description is close. I like to think of it as intersecting/overlapping volumes. It can also be used as a way of filling in a closed container made out of solids/surfaces.

Nice explanation with plenty of details about the decisions taken.
Since you were exploring options, you could add a cylinder below the cone (just a rectangle in the same sketch before Revolve) and then apply a Combine Intersect between bodies.
I have not tried myself, just suggesting 😉👍

Hi, thank you for the suggestion. I had played around with using combine (intersect). Tried with and without keeping tools. I was not able to find a clean and short way to achieve the final result. Might need to experiment more.

@@Fusion360School you are right. The upper side of the cone doesn't match the cylinder geometry so Intersect won't work.
      Sorry to mislead you!! 🙈

No worries. I think intersect will work. I just haven't found an efficient way yet. Split body is more intuitive in this case.

    I had forgotten about boundary fill--a seldom-seen tool on TH-cam/Fusion 360 vids.

Thank-you for creating this tutorial. It's very informative.
I have a question about the operation at 08:08 where you're doing some kind of midpoint constraint from the line to the origin. However I was having trouble replicating that; I'm unable to get the midpoint icon to show up. Can you please tell me why? Thank-you in advance for your time.

Oh I just figured it out. I needed to hold down 'SHIFT' in conjunction with 'Horizontal/Vertical' constraint tool. Please ignore this.

After clicking on the horizontal/vertical constraint, hold down the shift key and hover over the line until the triangle pops up.
