Your facial expressions while watching and listening to this says it all! 😁 This is indeed a breath-taking, mind-blowing performance from the Asia's Phoenix, it has become one of the most favorite and most watched and reacted Wish Bus video. Especially that part from the bridge leading up to the key change and until almost at the end, that "liberating", no holding back belting! I can feel my heart fluttering and adrenaline rushing while watching and listening. The dynamics she uses from the soft and mellow, laid back start, then builds up to that level of intensity, is what makes Mori above and beyond other singers who sang this song.
It was originally sung by another Filipina singer, about two years ago. Then last year, a TV station produced a drama series and made this song part of the soundtrack, and they chose Mori to interpret it. It has since become viral and trending, with already a staggering 22 million views to the lyrics video, and already 12 million views to this Wish Bus video. Her version stayed close to the original, but she added some "Mori touches" to it, like her squeaks on the chorus, the growls, and the high intensity, sang with conviction and power. Because of that, she made it her own. I am not exactly sure what the songwriters and the owner of the rights of the song treat this, but in all the releases I couldn't see the word "cover", even in this Wish Bus video, which in other Mori performances we could see clearly they put "cover" in the video title. I guess that's why you thought this was her original, and so other reactors did, and that's why commenters have to mention that it was originally sung by another singer.

This song, Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw originally sang by another singer in Philippines, unfortunately, the original cannot heat up the hot plate. So, the national TV ABS-CBN, request Morissette to revise this song for their premiere tv series. The Broken Marriage Vow OST.
Like everyone's said, Morissette is a Queen of vocal monster, and proven is, she never gives us disappointed. She revamped it better than the original. (same like she did RISE UP) Gusto's Morissette version has gained more than 50M views on all digital platforms within short periods of time😱🔥🔥🔥. whereas the original only have 3M views more than a year. Poor thing, she still struggling 😢😭.

Gusto Ko ng Bumitaw is originally sang and written by Sheryn Regis (react also to her she's a powerhouse). Morissette was asked to sing this song as part of the soundtrack for a TV Series called "The Broken Marriage Vow".
She was also feeling under the weather that day due to her overbusyness. She could've rest but she doesn't want her to miss her Wish 107.5 schedule. The raspiness in her voice is a proof for her sickness but for me, it just helped added the emotions!♥️🔥 Take note, she was also sitting down😅✌️

The latest song that's been on most reactors channels is her home studio version of her song POWER written for the Miss Universe pageant which was hosted in the Philippines in 2022. It is a one take cover and her husband Dave is mastering the recording for her. You need to pay attention to his reaction as well. Seems like he can't believe it as well. It was done shortly after she had a lengthy illness as well which makes it even more spectacular.

Just Thank You
She released a vlog right before this performance and talked about how sick she was. She had to take steroids to help her get through this performance. You can hear that extra rasp in her voice. Luckily the rasp added to the emotion to this breakup song. She is simply the best both in talent and professionalism.
