Martha & Osgood need some kinda involvement if the UNIT spinoff happens.

I think the big question I have is: why were these 3 specials the embodiment of Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary?
I understand the 50th blew everyone’s expectations out of the water, but Moffat at least comprehended that it couldn’t just be another episode of the show. I think The Star Beast could’ve been a great platform to build on, but they just… didn’t in the end.

Also while I do think that "14 living out his life with Donna and then once he's recovered from the trauma properly regenerates into 15 and then gets transported back to that moment in time" is the canonical events, my headcanon is similar to Will's.
I like the idea that bi-generation was more of a Sliding Doors type situation, where we saw 2 endings to 14: one where he regenerates into 15, and one where he stays as 14 and retires. The one that retires becomes The Curator and over time, as he grows older on Earth, his face ages but morphs into his predecessors (leading to the ending of Day of the Doctor).

There were loads of references to the past and history of the show… I feel like what you mean is there weren’t past doctors in it.
