- In this video i Repair and Restore a Vintage Gillette (Made in USA) Safety Razor Set with a special US Military Badge, the razor itself is an "early model" as it is known, is made of brass and nickel plated, it´s dated from the 1930s decade.
The man who sold me said it was left by a former US militar that came to my country to visit a family member. I can´t confirm it was used on the field in World War 2 but maybe as it´s from the same era.

Shit, where I live they're at it all day. The only time they stop is for like 5-10 seconds when you yell "stfu" and your neighbors think you're talking to your wife or them. You know how hard it is to explain yourself in that instance?

I began shaving with Double Edge razors decades ago, and have seen some beautiful examples of various models of Gillette Razors in original pristine condition. All were out of my budget range. Instead, I began buying old, neglected, worn and cruddy razors and have made it my life's ambition to restore the junk razors to pristine, new condition, so that they may be used by present & future generations.

That is the American coat of arms. Am eagle with 13 arrows and an olive branch with 13 olives and leaves. A ribbon with the words 'e pubris unum' meaning 'of many, one' the eagles body is shielded with 13 stars and stripes. 13 is America's lucky number. It's how many colonies united to gain our independence.

Thank you for this. Both my late father and I enjoyed our best & closest shaves with this type of Razor. Sadly, injury now only permits me an electric shaver, which although convenient, is nothing like the wet shave result of one of these. Even similar types with a solid bar as opposed to the toothed guard does NOT shave as closely.

I thought the case looked better without the Nixkel Plating. That destroyed the case and made it dull.
Probably looked better but bronze oxidizes and changes color over time Nickel not. . Thanks for watching

My first timewatching one of your videos. Enjoy what I see. You did a outstanding restoration. I have a Zippo lighter with the Alabama Crimson Tide logo on it. Half of the Logo is missing. Could this be restored. Would like a answer if you have the time to reply. Thanks
