It's been a while since last MapleStory video. Actually I nearly decided not to do anymore because of the algorithm and the "VIEWS" stuff, but since I watched Russell's amazing work, the idea of this cover suddenly appeared in my head.
He remake MapleStory in Unreal Engine 4, just like a Dream-Come-True for all the MapleStory fans. I really wish there'll be a MapleStory 2 (or 3 lol) for this. It would be absolutely amazing. I nearly cried watching all those videos he uploaded in his channel. I'm so excited when I got his reply saying that he's willing to let me use his video. Thank you so much Russell! i don't want to cry.... it's been more than 10 years ago when i started playing maplestory.... i wish i had a longer youth to forever indulge in this game and the friends i met on this game.... though everyone grows up one day. it makes me so so so so sentimental playing private server wouldnt bring the nostalgia back to life because the scenario is different now, with so many portions of our life dedicated to responsibilities of growing up, there is no way we could be as reckless as we can be, as dedicated in playing games as we could when we were littie. i miss my youth ... i miss this game and how it made my life different and interesting. i hate growing up, i truly do... or maybe i just hate that things just happen and it's just like you have just blinked your eyes, and you're an adult right after. maybe good times really pass fast.
we can play the private servers and i'm thankful that they exist but it's just not the same anymore...we've changed, the world around us has changed, the game itself has changed. We can't go back in time as much as we want to but we can be thankful that we had a chance to experience a game like this :)
It'll never be the same, the climb and struggle is what excites me in games. i tried jumping onto the reboot server but it wasn't the same T.T

Honestly new maple may never be the old maple but...now more so than ever. We could use all the people we can to come together.
Many things happened as we all aged, including the defeat of the black mage himself.
I would say if you're not going to join again, watch the questline for the black mage in the cutscenes.

Watching a level 40 tryna kill a Red-Drake for Steelys and Following the pros killing MM for the hopes of finding ilbis.
Can't forget traveling from ellinia to orbis to watch the Crimson Balrogs killing everyone

Another classic thing is jumping quest? I remembered that they were superhard. Perion, subway and sleepwood if im not wrong. Ones that got glass shoe from the quest is worshiped lloll

魔法森林的音樂聽起來相當平和安詳，
但從前的魔法森林充滿了四通八達的樹洞，
常常進去後就越走越深越走越深，
走到旁邊一堆巫婆飛來飛去，
一堆猴子把香蕉丟來丟去，
如果沒有回家卷軸就只能死回家，
我都懷疑楓之谷是不是要藉由看似平和的音樂、實則恐怖的地形，
來恐嚇小朋友不要隨便跑進森林裡XDD
p.s.想偷偷許願一下艾靈森林的音樂，也非常優秀喔XD

@@SLSMusic 音樂類型的觀看少，或許是因為大家都是當聽歌用的，8分鐘的影片可能太長，希望可以分成短版3-4分鐘跟8分鐘長版，音樂類的也有個優勢，隨著時間觀看數會上升，可能過幾天就到10w了

I know the views arent as much as the other videos, but please keep in mind that the views you do get in these MS videos are views FULL feelings, of joy, nostalgia, longing and LOTS of love. We will never be able to relive the experience we had in the times Maple was like that, but your covers bring me so close to it. Know that each person here is incredibly glad for the emotion you provide when making these. There might be fewer views, but the love and joy is infinite. Everyone here has stories about this time, and this is beautiful. We are forever glad.

すべてがキラキラしていたあのころ・・・
It brings me back to my childhood instantly!! 17 years ago, I was a Beginner hitting snails and mushrooms with my Wooden Baseball Bat till I finally reached Level 8. Wandered to Ellinia aimlessly and excitedly wanting to meet Grendel the Really Old for my first job advancement. Equipped my Wooden Wand, added 1 skill point to Energy Bolt and that is how an Arch Ice Mage was born!

listening to this music, makes me remember the old days. When i had to get job advancement on a mage, it took me several days to get to level 8 in the beginner area. Since i was just a kid and couldn't play a lot on the computer, so i didn't know that there was a cab that took you directly to ellinia forest, so i went my way through the maps just to get to there. The time i got to ellinia forest and climbed all the way up, failing to jump that little void before you get to Grendel the really old, i felt like a sense of accomplishment when i changed to magician. And i still remember being a little magician doing little damage to the slimes trying to get my exp annd money with the magic bolt, and resting on a chair to get my MP up so i could use the skill again. Those were good times

Yup, I played 15 years ago and I can't even get into the new game even just to mess around. It feels completely different. I will always remember this game though.
Just makes me feel like When The Morning Comes is one of the best Maplestory pieces of all time. And that game has a LOT of good music.

The grind was okay for me , but not the loss of experience everytime i died.
ye not even 4th job existed and i still grinded my ass off
haha took a month to get to lvl 30
at least u get your job at lvl 8 instead of 10 :)
I started way back in Alpha back when the thief job was not yet released... brings me back memories

昨天才在聽上首魔法森林的曲子，今天就有另一首。真是太美妙了
其實以前玩楓之谷時 四職業都市的音樂就魔法森林的比較不喜歡 因為前段讓我感覺有點孤獨 空洞 很討厭這種感覺 現在聽起來也是有這種感覺 但已經不會討厭了 只有回憶跟懷念
就是那種靜謐與空靈的感覺
現在人生活的節奏緊湊 很欠缺這類寧靜感
小學時聽到勇士之村的BGM我都會怕... 然後最早的登入介面，進到打帳密的小木板聽到那BGM，我就會超級興奮，又要進入楓之谷世界探險了

ps:Unreal 是遊戲引擎 沒辦法做3D建模喔 是先建好模型才放入遊戲引擎的
SLS大出了好多懷舊的線上遊戲音樂，每首聽到都好有畫面。不過說到以前的線上遊戲讓我最喜歡的甚至燒成CD再晚一點變成拉到MP3裡面聽的(好老了~)就屬天翼之鍊。不知是否有機會聽到SLS大重新彈奏的版本。
Maplestory Music is too DAMN GOOD!!! IT'S ALL SO PEACEFUL AND RELAXING!! Or it's rolling and epic or jazzy. I love it all.
