This is my review of the 120 set of oily square Brutfuner pencils, which are fast becoming my favourite budget pencils!

I might be late to the game on this video, but Im glad someone actually did a review coloring with these pencils, and discussing how they may preform on different types of paper. 🌝 That really is the true test. Not everyone prints out pdf's. I did order these today. Thank you for the video! 😊

Just for info, the brutfuners just like many other chinese pencils made by the same manufacturer are actually wax based pencils, not oil. The mention 'oily pencils' is only a mere mistranslation intented to mean ' oily feeling' 'greassy' or 'soft' ( was confirmed by manufacturer)

Oh Rosie your picture really did turn out beautiful she is stunning I absolutely love the colours you used. I think its amazing how you just picked up 3pencils and came up with a beautiful sink tone it really suits her too. Those greens are gorgeous and oh her hair wow its stunning you really transformed this page its stunning. Personally I enjoyed hearing how much fun Sydney was having it really made me smile and I’m with you I’m not a fan of swatching i find it boring and time consuming and just want it over with. I know some people quite enjoy it and find it relaxing but nope not me. I also prefer to have a separate sheet with my pencils too think its so much easier than a book full of swatches. Loved your video, gorgeous page ☺️💖

I don't mind swatching if they are already in order but swatching and ordering 160 pencils sounds soooooo boring!! I wish pencils always came in the right order!

Honestly I am suuuuuper impressed with them. I've been testing them against my polys on a page and I can't tell the difference once they're down.

I chines writing is the color in that language. Go by the color number.

@@rosiecraftedcolours2231 the second set had all the colours and they are really nice and creamy I am very beginner so don't have good skills especially with blending. I think they will be a good set to learn with though and then can use more expensive products like prismacolor or polychromos once I have practised more

Keep practicing until you feel comfortable enough for the pricey pencils, you'll soon be using them 💜💜💜

Do you know if the 120 brutfuner round set ate oil based too? They also have only numbers and no names (not even in Chinese) on them.
Hi sweetie, yes they are cool based too. I have those round original ones too and they great but not as smooth as the square ones. Emmacolours2020 is a big fan of them but says they dont work great on createspace paper but work well on quality paper 💜 whereas the square ones work well on cheaper paper 💜

Just a suggestion...once you've done several leaves, just pause and do rest off camera, then come back.

I do have wider sharpners but I prefer how they sharpen in the small sharpner. Sorry if the scratched paint annoys you 😊💗
