Amazon basin, grilled larva, Quechua shaman, and local festivities

Today, from Papallacta, we transferred by bus to La Punta Ahuano on the Napo River, where we boarded a canoe to take us to our Amazon lodge. In the afternoon, we visited Ahuano and a local Quechua shaman to learn about their way of life firsthand. The day ended by tasting grilled larvae and enjoying sights and sounds from a local celebration that wasn't part of the program.
