He is. He publish pics on Instagram with Ale (also with Dany and Pau) every now and then. Particularly on special occasions such as birthdays. He is like an uncle to them.
I’m inclined to believe that DPA’s exposure to different music as they were learning their craft is at least partially responsible for their eclectic music tastes today. Ale especially seems to have a wide variety of genres she listens to. Pau has a deep rooted love of classical music and Dany seems to actually be the biggest rocker who also happens to love show tunes. They have repeatedly credited their wide span of musical interests as a primary reason why they write such varied song types within the overall rock genre.
*Just for anyones information:* The second night of The Warning's Teatro Metropolitan show. Pablo González joined Ale on stage to play *"23".* Unfortunately, The Warning used the footage they shot on the first night when they released their Metropolitan concert. Ale, besides being so talented and extremely pretty, she has a purity about her that filters out and spreads a sincere joy looking and listening to her.
Glad to hear Adrian is feeling better and you’re back to normal! I think the common thread with Ale and her sisters beside their innate talent is they had music teachers who recognized their talent and went on to encourage them to try difficult things! The support of their parents and the discipline they instilled in their daughters is inspiring! I’m not a musician but I think Ale is a virtuoso! Viva The Warning!
Dany says when she didn't get something she would stay until she did. Pretty obvious that Ale also expected herself to master her instrument. All 3 are much better players than they get credit for. There are people that comment neither Dany nor Ale are good players but obviously they have a lot more ability than they normally use in their own songs. Beside Ale tearing up jazz numbers there are clips of Dany playing things like Master of Puppets as a warmup. Not to leave Pau out; especially when Buggs came to visit he and Pau went through several exercises as well. All three put in a lot of time practicing their craft and then David Bendeth got them to the point of playing together as a band rather than individually. Something I would not have even noticed but they really worked on playing together and being on time when they came back to Monterrey after recording ERROR.
Even though Pablo Gonzalez group (The Claxons) is basically a pop rock band, he’s an extremely skilled musician with (as you could see on the video) Jazz background and even prog rock. He used to play in a band called “Elfonía” with the amazing singer Marcela Bovio (also from Monterrey) She has sung with the likes of Ayreon and other Arjen Lucassen projects as Stream of Passion and Star One, also with former The Gathering singer Anneke Van Giersbergen and other Dutch artists (I think she leaves in the Netherlands now) You should check her out! As you can see Monterrey produces excellent artists!
Beto Ramos, who helped Pau in her early years to develop her craft, also helped Dany on her Kemper pedal. He is from Sinaloa. Yeah, we have wonderful high skilled musicians all around the country too.
she is a testament to hard work and dedication to one's craft... never settling for "enough", and always elevating her skills... VIVA ALE!!! VIVA THE WARNING!!!
Alejandra tem 19 anos de vida e 15 anos dedicados à musica . Este ano chegará a 300 shows na carreira . Uma garota angelical , doce, educada , inteligente e elegante . Talvez o maior talento que vi nascer no Rock durante minha vida .❤
Yes. They all have to be approaching that 10,000 hour milestone which is supposed to be the goal to master any task. They talk of practicing 5 hours a day early in their career so they would be ready for any opportunity. It shows not only individually, but in their perfection as a band.
The Jazz she was playing on the white bass is actually a saxophone solo from the most iconic master of all saxophonist, Charlie Parker (Bird). I can’t remember the name of the song this improvisation is from, but it is a must learn to be a Jazz saxophonist. It’s usually college level and she’s doing it on the bass. Don’t tell me Ale has no chops! (I may be wrong on the name of the solo, but it is one of the songs jazz players learn. My focus was on Coltrane in my college years)
Pablo is such an amazing bass player in Jazz and in rock with his band the claxons . ale has a huge feeling due for a big part to her lessons with Pablo; It's him who learn and introduce the ladies to the musicianship and encourage them to compose their own music The jazz song is Donna Lee by charlie Parker
Glad you posted this one, gives you a look at how Ale's a natural. Kudos to Pablo for mentoring TW and for teaching Ale the right way to play the bass. Also happy to hear that Adrian is coming along, TY Glenn.
Yes. Pablo taught her proper hand position which is 80% of the battle. When self taught punk or rock players are reaching for a note with one or two fingers, Ale's hand is already in position to play it.
As someone who has been a musician all my life,Im about to turn 62 ,I absolutely love what they do ,and agree they will only get better because they have that dedication.
They're legit. musicians by any definition of the word and the people who think otherwise need to look in a mirror. And they are only going to get better with time. But, right now, they're already fantastic players.
100%! Other musicians give her respect, including those doing reaction videos, and people they've toured with, as do plenty of serious music fans who know what they're hearing.
@@friendlyface4044 Yep. Having an open invitation to tour with little bands like Muse, GnR, Def Leppard, Halestorm, just to name a few, says something about their talent and dedication.
@@solarvanlife8177 Or that Lzzy Hale personally, onstage, gifted Dany with a guitar in payment of a 16-year old pay-it-forward promise to Jasin Todd, founding guitarist of Shinedown, and has called Dany the little sister of Randy Rhoads. Or that Muse, also personally, invited The Warning to tour with them in the UK, gifted Dany with another guitar, and said that Ale can play with the best of them.
Well wishes, first off, to You and Adrian. Secondly, Ale, and the other girls as well, had the tenacity to "get it right", which is sorely lacking in most people today! Maybe that is why so many of us love this band....they did not let us, or themselves, down!
Glad to hear that you're both doing better every day! Ale was so adorable at that age and has grown to be stunning as a young lady and as a bassist. All 3 sisters had that musical ability since birth it seems and I feel they would have become great musicians regardless of their upbringing. It just so happened that they had great parents who recognized that early on and provided them with everything they needed to become the amazing musicians and humans that they are.
After seeing this video of her with Pablo a couple years ago, especially the 'slap 'n' pop' training section, I've wondered why she didn't keep pursuing mastery of that technique. I thought it would perfectly fit and sound particularly awesome in songs like "More", where there's such a Funk flavor to and influence of it, according to Pau. She has several times cited Brenda Martin of Eruca Sativa as one of her idols and inspirations. Brenda utilizes that technique quite a bit. Also, she's of course just worked with Misa of Band Maid who also is a great 'slap 'n' pop' player, which we've all now seen in the collaberation video for "Show Them". Hopefully, one day we'll find out that she's again working on it, and she'll surprise us all with it in a future song or two or . . .
From what we see of Ale's public persona, it's possible it just doesn't fit her personality. She's more comfortable just laying that foundation down for the band. The most show boating I've seen her do is some hammer fists on a couple songs...:)
I think Ale is pretty underrated. She actually reminds me somewhat of John Entwistle from The Who. Entwistle definitely had more going on up and down the fret board, but the bass parts that Ale plays resemble his in many ways. She also sort of has his "deadpan" stare. Haha
I always get an Entwistle vibe from Ale too. When people critique her stage presence, sometimes I comment would they rather have her stand like a statue like Entwistle....:)
So glad you checked out the Maestro Pablo video teaching Ale. Whenever there is a comment on their videos (usually TH-cam shorts) with Ale highlighted, saying she isn’t that great or is a one note player or an amateur, I will refer them to this video. That usually shuts the commenter up. On occasion they will reply with a thank you and/or an apology.
Great reaction! Thank you!
