    Has Ben ever done a video on Rashid Gibiatovic Nezhmetdinov? He should. Nezh is interesting because he is a strong player who never became grandmaster despite he defeated strong players like for example Tal and others. Could have become one of the strongest players in the world if faith had been kinder to him.

    Suspicious at 59:08 that Sicilian is begging E5 to be played.... And positionally I think wite is stuck more, I may be wrong and it's loosing let me know, but just looking at it D5 seems like the worst way to collapse the center and I am sure Ben is about to tell me just how horrible...yep and looking at it for a min more E5 gets crushed as pretty bad as well if they don't take and push instead.

    Damn it, a miracle has happened. Right now just 5 minutes ago I succeeded in checkmating in an endgame with king, knight and bishop against a lonely king. The first time I´ve had the opportunity in practical play and the debut was a success. I think I could have mated my opponent a bit earlier but I did it in 35 moves from the moment there were only these pieces left. Well I don´t complain since it was the first time in practical play. Huraaaaaaiii. I´ll dedicate this special endgame-victory to Ben.... :)

    I dont agree with your statement Ben that Fischer is the best player who ever lived.Yeah he was good memorizing lines and moves that were bad in every position but here at 16 year old he got humiliated by Tal while Carlsen drew aganst Kasparov and beat Karpov at that age and we cant even compare Karpov and Kasparov to Fischer so yeah

      Fischer invented chess960 specifically because he hated that people were memorizing lines, it seems an odd criticism to level at the man.

      @@AllendeEtAl yeah lets measure it fisher in his prime vs carles now who do you think will win? FISHER? haha

    • @TSgitaar
      @TSgitaar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First of all, comparing players at 16 years old is a bit lame... Chess players usually peak in their 20's or 30's. You can compare eras and players if you want to, but its a pointless exercise in my opinion. Because chess as a game is always evolving to a higher standard, so players will also evolve even though they aren't necessarily as talented as the older generations. Players starting out today can study games and theory with engines. That is something Fisher couldn't ever do. That doesn't mean that he wasn't as talented as a player like Carlsen and Kasparov.

  • @bustarogers9990
    @bustarogers9990 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Barbra Streisand calling Fischer crazy like Fox news has to be one of the most hypocritical statements in human history lol , she's the epitome of the demented modern left lol.
