He doesn't have the means to buy a real watch, and was celebrating the anniversary of his sobriety . The look on his face was worth the price of Paris Hilton's Piaget. Pure gratitude. It felt awesome.

This is by far Archies greatest vid. As a man who’s approaching old age he can read through the lines and gives invaluable advice to a young man. “You have everything but you have nothing” -Archie I’m 35 and one of those guys working my ass off towards my grail Rolex.
When you're shown love its all you need to fill your soul with happiness. Without it you try to fill the void with material goods and no matter how much u get , u want more and more and thus end up chasing happiness your whole life... For me thats the biggest tragedy

Took a swing and I heard what I now realize was the rotor swinging freely. Valuable lesson about jarring activities. At the time I was under the impression that the sun powered it... lol Of course the rotor is supposed to spin, so I wonder what broke? That watch has been gone for a decade. Now that I am typing it I realize a rotor spins in an auto I wonder what broke?? I just recall hearing a high-speed whirring sound... When I swung and that was it.
Many people on this planet, in fact a vast majority, would be unable to comprehend buying a watch for USD1000. Some people consider a watch for USD20,000 to be expensive. Cabinotiers, make bespoke watches that usually start at around USD200,000. Elaborate examples are in the millions.Funy how people jusdge others according to their own scale.
Tony is the kind of guy who when he has the no date sub he says he wish he had a sub with a date and cyclops. But if he only had a submariner date, he’d say he doesn’t like the cyclops and wishes he had a no date instead. As AC3 said he needs love not material items trying to plug a hole. I mean phuck me what a sad story. I know people not dissimilar to Tony and they are the most unhappy people I know by a country mile. Like I just feel sorry for Tony and wish him the best. Perhaps Archie could send him a few carpet beetles and a fridge advertisement so maybe he could realise how bad life could get.
Tony wanted a watch review not a unsubstantiated character assassination. Good for him if his fortunes afforded him a nice watch collection. You should appreciate he came to you for horological advice. However, I did find this one of the most entertaining vids in a long time. The bottom line is not everyone is the same in this world or are their drive, discipline, education etc. some end up with better economic conditions. That's just they way it is.
Stop picking junk by reading under the cover... Albeit, it is good to be able to act quickly and impulsively at times in the long run a little homework will help.
