This is yet another incredible story. Rainbow’s development in this one is way better than that other one. The first round ending with a rematch between Rainbow and Blue is beautiful (I don’t know the release order of these two videos so that point might be null and void). And from there Rainbow went through so much hardship. Yellow was set up very early on as an antagonistic figure who won so easily at everything. Red and Pink were set up to be the other row members of the main trio. Pink’s death was heartbreaking, and Red’s death hurt even more. By Red’s death Green had finally gotten some character development and it was clear they was a force to be reckoned with on par or even above Yellow on strength or malice. Yellow’s death in the semifinals was one of the most nail biting things I’ve watched in years and I was genuinely so hyped when Rainbow won and actually managed to kill them off. And in the finals against Green?! Oh my god that was perfect cinema right there! Rainbow and Green getting through the gap at almost the exact same time was so nerve racking, but then you notice the second to last Rainbow ball had lost all momentum and right there you’d rightfully assume all is lost. That’s what I thought. But then, out of nowhere you notice Green jump and that one mistake spells their certain demise. That ending was so cathartic and I unironically popped the fuck off when Rainbow won.
