Please stop asking about the timing of the firing.. It was clear some time ago that McCaskey was dragging his feet and wanted to feel included to respond to board members about the lost millions and whatever else goes through that man’s mind.
It was an attempt by Poles and Warren to get it done quickly and McCaskey said not so fast! They probably couldn’t get him to the meeting soon enough to do anything about Flus. So the reason is inside those three but mostly McCaskey who’s a total dick. Which we’ve already know for a long time.

They kept Eberflus after the Minnesota game because it was a short week for the Lions game.
George heard an ear full of complains in person at the Lions Thanksgiving game from the fans.
George knew it was coming, but I will guarantee you that Warren made the decision.
George is a business man not a football man, just like the other 31 owners.

Bears ownership want a yes man for a coach!!! Meanwhile the players and fans are desperate for “a leader of men”!!! Correct me if im wrong but a leader of men to me is an actual coach!! That’s what they do that’s the job to be a leader of the team and considering there is only men playing then I’d say a head coach is or should be a leader of men

There is no way to know if someone is a leader of men in an interview. Leadership is proven in the day-to-day running of a team and during times of adversity. So a so-called offensive genius may not have that leadership quality. Bruce Arians had leadership and offensive acumen. Marc trestman was a so-called offensive genius and our offense was good during his tenure. But his personality did not fit6 standing in front of a room of alphas I'm getting them to perform to their best ability day in and day out. Mike Tomlin by comparison has never been a great X's and O's guy but he has been able to lead a team and assemble decent to great assistant coaches.

Poles needs to go also, Stop the DEI hiring. D. J. Needs to concentrate more on his contributions to helping the team win and not what the owners should do. Williams is not ready for the starting position, he takes to long to read the field. And start running forward not sideways. He is frustrating the offensive line, they can't hold the rush for 20-30 seconds. We have what 6 games left, start Tyson and see what he can do. Now is the time to experiment with different people and try new things. The H C can't take all the blame, we have coaches for every part of the game. The HC didn't tip the ball to the other team for a loss. He didn't break down and let the kick get blocked. He didn't throw an interception to ice a game. Did these players get fired.

Mike Tomlin is a leader of men. Vrabel probably. Not sure who else. They could have had Harbaugh and Kingsbury but instead went with in house Eberflus and Waldron. Typical cheap McCaskeys. Nothing will change until they sell the team which they won’t. Also didn’t upgrade the O Line which was the most critical need. Caleb says thank you.
