    Andy is one of the best players. He is especially great live and in person.

    Wow, that's the most different rendition of that song I've seen to this day (from all the stuff floating around on YT). Amazing that he's still going for stuff and trying different flavors on such an iconic tune. Thanks for putting it up!

      He usually closes his live performances with this song. Since he has just released a new "Album", I expect that he would have played a few of those songs.

    everyone is trying to sound like EJ

      How do you figure that AT is trying to sound like EJ? Both are great players with their own sound and style...

    • @knowmusicman157
      @knowmusicman157 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@guillaumeledique3401 because Eric Johnson has a very unique and personal style that he created and anybody that plays like him is obviously copying his style. Perhaps you don't know enough about Eric Johnson's style to make such a comment.

      @@knowmusicman157 I know EJ sound, been listening to it since the 90s, and I've also been listening to AT since the 90s, seen them both play live countless times. So get off of your high horse and stop trolling

      I’ve been playing for 40 years and I can tell you that EJ and AT are nothing alike. EJ thrives and survives on the Pentatonic scale while AT is a master of fusion, jazz, and exotic phrasings. Their tones are similar, however. Do you know much about music?

    • @knowmusicman157
      @knowmusicman157 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@redghost3170 I never said that every note AT played on every song he ever played was a xerox copy of EJ. But that there was enough of EJ's signature style, phrasing, etc in the video above to be quite obvious. I've been in the business 57 years and knowing EJ in Texas since the '70s Electromagnets days. So sit down and learn something new my friend.
