Hi, I have a stable block that has never been used to house horses. It was built on an agricultural unit. The farming activities were around breeding pure breed poultry, it even states in the planning statement for retrospective planning on small buildings. I was asked what are the stables going to be used for when built, to which I said keeping animals etc. I have all the proof of this and the activities, but I would just like to get your take on it..?
Kingsley says everything is good in the new changes but 150sqm isn't really very big for a large family and will means lots of barns cant be fully utilised.
Hi Suzanne. If the stables are equestrian use then they are not considered agricultural buildings. But please check with a planning consultant to be certain.
Hello great helpful video. Does Grade 2 listed buildings and the barn being in the curtilage cause restrictions to this PD? I know when it comes to planning the grade 2 inspector trumps the planning.

Hi very interested in this new rule, do you happen to know if stables can be converted? It’s not a barn more like a L shaped stable block.
