You are the man it not rocket science just down to earth welding an what you have thank you for all the little thing you do in your videos it so helpful keep up the good.
Highly appreciate the knowledge on welding through paint and rust with mig. I ran into that problem welding painted square tubing. I did bridge weld over the large gap but like you said, trying to run a continuous bead cause a large hole from to much heat. So now I know to tack in between the bridge weld to build up material to put a full pass over the tacks. Thanks.
Surprised you didn't anchor the backend or put the bucket down and load it up. Good technique for burning through junk! I've done a bunch of welding on my mini bike frame, and I learned to keep a fire extinguisher within arms reach haha. The *first* time the air intake caught a spark, I was in my Dad's shop, and only the 3rd one I grabbed worked lol
Are you flux core welding, I couldn't tell. Thank you for all your great info, and also nice video work truly appreciate. Hope alls going good for you and yours. Keep em coming.
No Sir...this video is about MIG welding...MIG stands for Metal Inert Gas...MIG welding is not flux core MIG welding used an inert gas to shield the puddle...flux core uses a flux to shield the puddle...in flux core welding there is no inert gas used
Thank you for the response. I watch your work alot and your good at explaining your approach and why. Don't know nothing bout the video which you do well and very little bout welding, but it's all.. Very Magnetizing? Fun.
That thing is so cool! I have seen these things at different construction sites and they get beat to hell and back. I have welded more of these than I can count. Operators who have no idea what maintaining equipment are the norm. I have an old friend who has a huge contracting/excavating and everything else company who changes the color of the grebe to make sure that his workers are at least keeping up with greasing the equipment.n Great video! great job and cool machine..
That kind of repair is just like the stuff l repair on farms here in the UK. Old, battered, splattered in sh1 t and usually falling apart. Tidy repair for an old machine young man!
@@NBSWELDING isolation strap. Something In between your hoist and the the thing your lifting that doesn’t allow current so you don’t fry your hoist when welding.
Don't use one...never have If welding damages a hoist then the welder is not correctly grounded I don't disconnect batteries either...ground well on clean metal on the part I'm welding and don't weld elsewhere...no problem
I used to work at a concrete equipment rental company. We had a whole bunch of those. All of ours were painted purple. The color of that one caught my eye. Wonder if its one the one we had. Company got bought out while I was there. All the equipment was sold auction and the land sold. Does it say Gibson Equipment anywhere on it?
15K machine that operators treat as if it were a $50 wheel barrow. At the same time concrete guys charging what they charge there is damn near 15k profit on every job. In the end I don't care. Send some work over to a body or weld shop.
My maladjustment tool is named Simba, It can work wonders when applied properly. Great presentation, thank you!

Doing great
Thanks for watching and commenting

You don’t use an iso strap for your hoist?
I got lots of different straps that I use to lift things but I don't know what an iso strap is...never heard that term

What you need is some power brush o lation and some paint o lation, that would be the right top o lation of that job o lation!
Fine tuning BFH .

I didn’t see a name on it anywhere…not sure where they got it
