He is absolutely the guy you want to get advice, tips and tricks from! I've learned more from this man in just a few days of watching his videos, than I'd learned from all of YT in many months! From the proper fire to use to the best shelters; and how to make a nice tent stove, alcohol burner and a hot cup of coffee! He absolutely knows his stuff!
Thanks for the video, and your kind welcome! I was wondering if you drank coffee, and sure enough, truly a man after my own heart! Be safe out there my friend!
If I was lost in the deep woods, I'd want this guy to find me, especially with that coffee maker. Looked mighty good if the temp was below freezing! 💙☕🍵
I broke the brass neck off of mine and so had to replace it with a different style but the same concept that works the same way. I still use mine daily and I agree that the process of making the coffee is part of the reason for making coffee. I just enjoy the whole process. I even roasted my own beans for several years using a hot air popcorn maker. I recently went back to buying whole roasted beans due to the difficulty of obtaining raw beans.
Great to see your wind guard/shield. And to hear how you made it. I like that you take your time speaking. It's like you feel we're right there with you. Coffee looks great btw.
Thank you for the field tutorial on making coffee. I haven't tried making coffee in the higher altitudes and perhaps this is the reason for the espresso maker? I boil water and pour it through a single cup strainer of my fav ground bean. I like the use of the cheap denatured alcohol.
The reason why I like this mini espresso maker is because of the resulting smooth non bitter result. This maker seems to make much better tasting coffee in my opinion than any old fashioned perculators or drip types I've tried including the ones with gold coated foil screens/ filters or paper filters. I also personally enjoy the process of making the coffee using this method.
Great video. Just a word of caution. I was injured a few years ago by an alcohol stove that lit and blew the fuel bottle I was too close to, although not knowing the time. Just take care with the alcohol fuel stoves and lighting. God bless and always enjoy your videos. Take care Lonnie :)
every time i watch you great videos i have to rewind because i keep getting distracted by the awe of the beautiful scenery swear you are the luckiest man alive or maybe the smartest .. !!
Hello Lonny I have seen the Coffee video and i like it very much A good Cup of Coffee is always the best that you can get in the wild Greetings and all the best Yours Frank
Nothing better than a Cup of Hot Java in the Bush. I have something like that I use in stainless, a little heavier but worth it. It comes with a mesh plunger for the grounds like a french press. More I see Alaska I want to move there. Live in Oregon but getting dang crowded down here.
Great espresso maker, I've had 2 for about 20 years in fact one of mine has been around the globe from Asia, Europe and back. Now your use of a gas treatment bottle is a top tip... low cost fuel bottle that is marked well and don't leak. FYI I've forgot once burned up gasket in one.... reason I've got second one while locating replacement gasket.
I have forgot to add water in one of my moka pots once and it got very hot but thankfully I caught it before any damage was done. It had a silicone gasket which handles high heat quite well.
Watched a half dozen of your videos and I'm very impressed with your ideas and knowledge excellent bug out videos really like your how to tarp tent going to try my best to replicate
I have the single cup (espresso size) version of that. I can brew with a tea candle pan filled with alcohol. Heavy but efficient. Thanks for the great videos!
Great video, the view is amazing. This is the way I make coffee while camping as well, I think it's the best. A word of warning: I broke the brass tube on mine a few years ago. The manufacturer does not sell the tube alone, they will sell the top and tube for a few dollars less than a new unit. I cut and threaded the tube and it works fine. I remove it for travel. I use a moka pot at home, same thing with a pot on top.
Nice. I love coffee in the morning, and at night, but coffee at night keeps me awake. I found that Chicory was a good replacement for my coffee in the evening, and it stopped my acid reflux problem. Now i mix the two, coffee/chicory in the morning. it taste great to me. I use the Melitta Ready Set Joe Single Cup Coffee Brewer when i make my coffee. I just boil water, and pour over the cone with a #2 filter, filled with coffee/chicory. Super easy, and fast. Thanks for the video, and take care.
I was waiting for this one since i saw it in one of yours videos. I love that maker ,love your setup and its seem to be so fast to get a brew. What a view at 9:24 for drinking that brew !!! Thank
nice I really enjoy watching your vedoes and like always I like this as much keep them coming appreciate your time and work you put in your vedoes you take care wish you all the best
My buddy Charles that you can see in a couple of my videos had one of those cups and after watching him use his cup in his boat, I decided I would like one of those cups as well. Charles bought this cup for me as a gift. It is highly prized especially on my campouts in the boat or in camp as it is so stable and resists tip-overs like no other.
Hah! I knew you would eventually make a video regarding that espresso maker! We all nearly fell off our logs when you first showed it in your video a few weeks back. Snow capped mountains, pine scent in the air and fresh brewed coffee.. Nothin' like it in the world!! Blessings to you and your wife my friend.
So woods coffee is probably my favorite way to enjoy a cup of coffee. I just found your channel in my recommended videos, 5 videos in and I have to say its one of my new favorite channels. You are a wise man and its awesome you share your knowledge with us!
This particular "Moka Pot" broke on a trip back home from a winter campout. The brass spout broke off from the snowmachine sled ride. I now have 4 other Moka Pots three of which I have purchased at thrift stores. My favorite Moka Pot is the ole standard Bialetti (6 cup size I think) Moka Pot. You can see that one in a different video I did at the link below if interested. My favorite MP for home use is one that I bought new and is a Bialetti Venus model. My current favorite coffee maker overall though which I am now using for both home and camping is the AeroPress. Show Us Your Coffee - Tagged Video th-cam.com/video/MELm1Lfk2E0/w-d-xo.html
He looks like the kinda guy I want to get camping advice from.

Loved it my friend
"I forgot to put water in there"... you're the best man, we've all done it. Please keep doing what you do.
I was watching for a few seconds before I suddenly noticed the landscape in the background and I go "Holy cow!" 😲
It's a Bob Ross landscape in the background - and thinking about it a kind of Bob Ross foreground too. ;-)
3:28 his finger is spot on, thats some excellent production value right there.
I love the paperclip trick I'm gonna use that one for sure
Wonderful... Thank you so much.
gotta say I love the view you got there.
What a great backdrop. Alaska is so beautiful. Stay safe, my friend.

I love love love your videos! Hi from Houston Texas❤️ God bless you.
If I was lost in the deep woods, I'd want this guy to find me, especially with that coffee maker. Looked mighty good if the temp was below freezing! 💙☕🍵
You have the rich life. A good cup of Joe and a breathtaking backdrop. Doesn't get better than that.
Same one that I used when I was a wildland firefighter and still do. I like it. It's all burnt on the bottom and still in good shape.
That mountain in the backround is magestic
Thanks Lonnie.. Beautiful View! You make me want to go outside and perk my coffee.. Love your videos.. God Bless.. Bill
Thanks for turning me onto this I bought one for myself and one or a family member. They are kind of fun to use. God Bless

Great video. Just a word of caution. I was injured a few years ago by an alcohol stove that lit and blew the fuel bottle I was too close to, although not knowing the time. Just take care with the alcohol fuel stoves and lighting.

Just ordered that coffee maker, can’t wait to try it. Thank you
What you get when you combine MacGyver and Grizzly Adems? A mountain man that can rig up a good cup of coffee and look cool while doing it.👍
DarkWolf76 Lonnie put the oo in cool . He's a total natural.
That's the kind of happy look that I also would have on my face if I was out in the woods watching coffee come out of a maker like that.
bravo bravo If i may say so this is one of the coolest vids ever also I learned how to make coffee outside today! THANK YOU!
Why would anyone dislike this??? This video was very informative and interesting.
you're the outdoor Bob Ross !!! I watch you because you're interesting.... I listen to you because you're relaxing...
thanks.

Glad to have enjoyed the coffee with you sir! Nice vid.
Looks like a great cup of coffee and the scenery is not too bad either. Your way of doing coffee while outdoors is the best I have seen yet.
He even pours it off the dregs! This man knows how to make proper coffee!
That was a very good looking cup of coffee. I make cowboy coffee all the time. Be safe, brother.
Lobbied, the expression on your face at the moment the brew began, was the picture of complete contentment. Thanks for the upload.
Nothing like Alaska in the Fall. No bugs and beautiful scenery. Termination dust I do see. A good cup of joe just make it that much better.
Pause at 1:16 even if the coffee was crap you couldn't beat that view/setting while you drink it. Beautiful!
Far North Bushcraft and Survival what a great looking cup of coffee and in my case needed for survival. thanks for the share.
Great coffee maker, even more beautiful scenery, thanks Lonnie.
Love the wind screen idea. Man knows how to live who can make a good cup of coffee on the spot. Gotta have it !! Great little set-up. (stainless too)
Those fancee feast alcohol stoves with the carbon felt are the best - quick bloom - and they weigh nothing. Love your vids
Love the view!!! That's the awesome privilege living in the mountains
This landscape add flavor to coffee
Great video, the view is amazing.
This is the way I make coffee while camping as well, I think it's the best.

Love the “Chubby Mug”. I haven’t seen those since the 90s. Best mug ever made and best kept secret too. Starbucks executive only gifts back then.
