Sadly the attention span of people has shortened alot. That's why pop music is so popular. I'm a Deadmau5 fan and I've been ever since. There are very few people who like rave and dance music compared to other genres. I hate pop music and never found interest in it. Many of my friends don't like genres like trance techno and EDM in general because of the longer length songs and shit in general. It's just how todays people are unfortunately. :(

It's not as simple as that. A State of Trance became huge and so it attracted people who have never listen to trance. Also it doesn't help that Armin keeps passing on Big room House as trance.
cause armin had asot and some people always think armin creates all the music that is played there at first, only after some time they realise it's just a radioshow with music mixed together. And the fact that armada knows how to sell music. Look at how cosmic gate and dash berlin exploded to fame, they are pretty good at marketing and promotion.
20 years ago before Ableton came along. You realy needed to be a sound engineer to make a good track. The music shene got diluted with untalented wana be famous kids with a laptop and ableton. That's why verry hard to find good tracks nowdays . I don't listen to new djs from the club music schene. All got slowed down and got empty. Only Psychedelic trance I listen to from nowadays music. They have not slowed down. But they also diluted shitty here and there. But there are still good ones in the new ones. But Psychedelic trance is not normal club music for me. Nowadays club music is over for me. It's shit . Does PVD throw classic parties?
