This is a little off topic but the best place to get advice is at a random beer bar in Thailand from an ex SAS, Navy Seal, or CIA guy. Can't ever go wrong with them. If they've got a TH-cam channel, Facebook Group and a page to book a 45 minute consultation for 100.00 Dollars even better, that makes them extra certified and the real deal. Don't forget most of these types have connections in high and low places too, they can get stuff done in an instant. 😂
People seem to think they can come here and do what they want. Sadly the authorities don't seem to have the resources or interests in ending it.
Every country's priority should be to protect their own citizens first. Jobs and otherwise.

Good new development. There are plenty of crooky people out there. They may just have an undertable contact and know a greyzone. I always avoiding these advicers or their help. Visa and other stuff like that. If you need legal help whatsoever I'd only go to my lawyer I know and trust. And, my experience, a foreign lawyer can be a good help, but not always. Some foreign lawyers I met did understand the law but not Thai mentality. So you'd need to find one who is experienced in Thailand. Better you do it right the first time and don't waste money, nerves and time with a crook.

I had this experience personally. Hired a foreigner lawyer, who resold the case to a local lawyer who didn't speak English and then helped the defendant instead of me. Over paid and got screwed.

Thank you very much for your candor and accuracy. The institutional framework in Thailand is changing rapidly and is less than certain. The situation likely will be like this for at least five more years. My image of Thailand is decades out of date. In such confusing times, not only for people like me, there is almost a desperate need to fall back on familiar sounds and faces, to hear what you want to hear, or to hear only what you most fear. We become vulnerable. We need people like you to snap us back to reality even if reality is not all peaches (mangoes). Don't be annoyed too much at your critics, including even me. Keep helping. If you know the identities of those foreigners working illegally in Thailand. Inform Thai immigration and the Thai police. It will be refreshing to see a few professionals in custody on the news. Instead of the usual foreign tour guides and hairdressers
How many managing partners in a SUCCESSFUL law firm, snivel and complain about this subject, very few. Most lawyers are hyper focused on growing their book of business.
