Hi Christine! After talking with you in the comments on one of your last videos we decided to upgrade to Vantage with a great deal of 240 CAD for the week. Also, from what I understand from one of the Hyatt Vivid FB sites, the a la carte breakfast restaurant is now open. We're heading there on June 12 and can't wait! Thanks again for all your work.
Hi Allan! Wow that's a great price for the upgrade! Also, thanks for the tip about the Med restaurant - I've posted in one of the groups to double check if this is true - I sure hope so - that would be super impressive to have that up & running already!
Good day young lady. I have watched some of your videos of the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Hotel. They were awesome. Thank you. Will you please send me how do I get to the web site of the hotel to check it out. We will be going to the Hyatt Vivid in Cancun in February 2025. Mind you we now live in Mexico but 5000 feet above sea level. You rock young lady. Thank you.
@@debfinch2741 hi Deb! Thanks for watching! You can just Google the hotel and click on the Hyatt Inclusive link or the Inclusive Collection by Hyatt link (same thing) and see lots of detail of the hotel. Or you could also download the Inclusive Collection app and then you can see all the activities, shows, restaurants and even the menus! It’s a jewel of info!!
Thank you so much for all the videos and reviews. Regarding the pillow menu, do they offer memory foam pillows? Due to my neck problems, I always travel with a pillow. I'm wondering if their pillows are firm enough to support my neck since most of the pillows from hotels are flat and don't provide any support. Thank you !
Hi Alvin! I normally ask for an ergonomic pillow because I've always had neck issues too. I was totally fine with the ones at the hotel - such that I didn't even think to ask if they had different kinds. That said, I also forgot to even ask about the pillow menu but a friend of mine has just booked for the beginning of June, so I'll add it to the list of questions that I have for him!!
Hi Iraida! I would be really surprised if it's not open by the end of this month, to be honest. I think you're in the facebook group, so just keep checking on there - I'm sure someone will update when they get it going. Actually, someone just commented that it's already open...I'm trying to confirm...
Thank you for this, I’m booking now for my birthday in Dec 2025 - pretty early but I’m doing the vantage for sure / everything will be open by then and for now it’s a total off $300 more for the entire stay which isn’t bad compared to what the difference will be if I wait until 2025 to book!!!
Hi Sassy! Ooh so smart!! They have great cancellation policies, so you're totally covered but booking early like this means you're snagging really low rates - I'm certain that prices will skyrocket as soon as all activities are happening and the Dreams side is open - I'll bet you just saved yourself hundreds of dollars!
@@ChristineTurner EXACTLY!! It’s my 55th birthday so I definitely want the vantage treatment, and $300 over 5 nights is great. I also booked 3 rooms for 6 nights in July to celebrate my twins graduation since they’ll be going off college - not doing vantage for that because well 18 year olds don’t need vantage lol but that will give me a preview before hubby and I go alone in December! Our favorite resort has been Secrets Akumal hands down but this seems like a different feel but something we will enjoy as well. And it’s half the price of Akumal! We’re going to Akumal for 7 nights this October and i was so tempted to change it because of the price difference but hubby said to keep as is because everything may not be perfect yet this year and we don’t want to regret.
@@sassystarr Oh yes Secrets Akumal is one of the top resorts in the area for sure but you do pay a premium for it. That's great to take your kids to Vivid - I'm sure they will enjoy the midnight rooftop dance parties!
@@sassystarr Thanks for watching! I'm very excited to be going back in October & seeing how things have changed and to see how the Dreams side is progressing. Stay tuned for more videos on that!
Hello 👋🏼 I wanted to ask did you upgrade at the resort or prior to? I originally booked in April and prices were much cheaper. Rebooking for early August and prices are $300 more for vantage club. Really torn on what to do
I upgraded ahead of time because I knew I would want to understand what the Vantage Club situation was like & didn't want to rely on an upgrade upon arrival (or the cost of it!!). It's hard to say if that cost would be worth it or not. Maybe for that price, you can wait to see how much it would cost at checkin? I really would be torn on this decision too.
My cousin and I booked Vantage Club Bay View Double for December. The upgrade at the time was like $20/night, so it was a no brainer. I've been meaning to ask, did you confirm that the pools or at least one pool is heated?
Hi Christine! Nice! It'll be interesting to hear what you think of the view. Yeah - definitely worth it for $20/night - especially when you see those fancy cocktails they can whip up in the Vantage Lounge! The pools were cold to start but every time I went in, I stayed in for about 2 hours lol. They're definitely heated! (I went in all three at the resort and was in up to my knees at the Beach Club pool - hard to say if those ones are heated & I forgot to ask)
Hi Michelle! No I upgraded before the resort opened - initially, I'd just booked a basic Junior Suite with a Bay view but when I saw that it was only $20/night to upgrade, I decided it was well worth it. (I also don't like to risk waiting for arrival to upgrade - you never know if the resort will be full or not and then not be able to get the room view I really want - that's happened to me before & it sucked!)
Hi Neil! Absolutely no idea. I think I read somewhere that you would but I don't really have many Hyatt points so I don't know. You might want to ask in one of the Facebook groups.
Thank you! We’re booked for the first week in June in a Vantage club room. Looking forward to it!
Hi Monica! Nice! I'm a wee bit jealous for sure!! Hope you love it as much as I did!

@@alvincheung122 why don’t you call the resort and confirm? Packing a pillow takes up so much space!
i did online chat with them but once they knew I booked tthrough travel agent and they won't help me out.
i just did an online chat and this time they provide me with an email, so i just sent an email. let's wait for their reply. thx Christine.
Hi Christine , I will be really disappointed if the a la carte restaurant wont be open for breakfast in September. Do not like buffets.
