its just markers if when a sample starts, some dj's use them as a clock so at 12 it will start, some place the sticker right on the beat so when you drop the needle on it it plays exactly when you want (without using head phones) or for "backspinning"
it's great to see turntable's being played as instruments and not turntable's, if you can mix two records together, that's o.k, but if you can scratch, that's different..if you can do both really fucking well, your made :-}
@daxwelsh thanks yeah already have the jungle book Lp... its really hard to find long, simple trumpet notes, that arent on top of a drum beat. oh well, i will keep diggin. if anyone finds anything and wants to share the wwealth, write back!
@hannahnahna does he really do that much technical stuff though? i think kid koala is a little overrated (in my opinion), but i can see how some people would really really enjoy his stuff. I just don't really dig his music =)
dam every were i go everyone is swinging on kid koalas nuts i think hes good and all but lets be real, do u honestly see this stuff wining a dmc , or maybe im wrong and im just not "ready" for this, "ahead of its time", style

There's a lot of great DJ's that never even come close to winning DMCs.
