Tata Nano eMax XM can run on petrol as well as CNG, power is generated from the same 624 cc petrol engine, though it outputs relatively less power than the one employed in petrol only variants. Fuel economy offered by the CNG variant is excellent, it is one of the best in its segment. On the outside, the hatchback lacks chrome strip in front and rear, front fog lamps, roof beading and roof spoiler. Interiors on the other hand are bereft of electronic trip meter and rear parcel shelf with provision for speaker fitment. From the comfort segment, Nano’s CNG variant lacks features such as heater, front Power windows, magazine and coin holder on all doors. While the only safety feature missing in CNG trim is central locking.

Clear lens head lights are equipped in the front, body coloured front bumper lacks fog lamps while air dams are present. Rear too comes with clear lens tail lights and body coloured bumper. Body coloured outside rear view mirrors are fitted on driver as well as on co-passenger side. Other exterior fitments include body coloured door handles, tinted front windshield and half wheel covers.

Premium Seats are upholstered with trendy sporty black fabric which goes well with the trendy sporty black fabric and black vinyl and ebony black dashboard. Silver dust centre fascia, dual glove boxes with provision for speaker fitment, exterior colour coordinated bezel around speakers’ grill, electronic trip meter, digital fuel gauge, three spoke steering wheel and stylish ebony black CNG cylinder trims. Comfort features like air conditioner, cup holders in front console, cabin lamp, front seat head rests, rear seat head integral head rests, sunvisor on driver and passenger side, co-driver sunvisor with integrated vanity mirror, driver seat with slider and recliner, passenger side seat with slider and recliner, front/rear assist grips, low fuel warning lamp, rear seat folding, head light levelling, intelligent fuel switch mechanism and fast filling CNG.
• Tata Nano GenX eMax XM Engine & Transmission
Under the bonnet is the 624 cc, two cylinder, which outputs maximum power of 33 PS at 5500 (+/-250) RPM along with top torque of 45 Nm at 3500 (+/-250) RPM.
• Tata Nano GenX eMax XM Mileage
Claimed ARAI certified fuel economy delivered by CNG variant is 36 km per kg.
• Tata Nano GenX eMax XM Braking and Safety
Drum brakes are affixed in front and rear, for safety of occupants, the variant features safety equipment such as radial tubeless tyres, centre high mount stop lamp, booster-assisted brakes, front and rear seat belts, additional body reinforcements and intrusion beams.
