I see your comment in many KT-Taiwan videos. Do you just copy and paste your pessimistic opinions? I personally do not see a drop off in performance level. They are just as good today as they were years ago. One of the things that may be constricting them a bit is the All-Japanese Marching Band Committee. Because KT is so unique and does things other bands do not do, they committee revised marching performance rules for competition that seem to restrict KT more than other bands. For example, you cannot have stationary percussion set up in the back of the formation any more. All percussion instruments must be carried. Another new rule is that you can no longer throw flags in the air, something that only KT did in the past. As you might know, Japanese do not appreciate when you try to stand out in the crowd. A popular saying there is that "the nail that sticks out should be pounded back down." So, some of the innovative things that KT once did is no longer allowed. Still, when not in competition, they are allowed to do whatever they please, and I have not seen any let down in the level of performance.
Please stop calling them by that malicious nickname. That malicious nickname is NEVER on their LARGE BANNER being carried by 2 female dancing musicians - unless you can't read English or Chinese words. (Nickname was unfortunately "popularised" at the book cover written by KT's former Music Director who is no longer employed - selling books about KT to make money. The explanation that competitors had called that because they often won competitions when wearing orange appears BOGUS since during the former Music Director's approx. 30 years, the band only won AJMC National Gold 3 times and many years in between).
