- Directed by Lasse Hoile (Steven Wilson / Katatonia /Opeth), A Sort of Homecoming is a concert film of Anathema’s homecoming show on March 7th 2015 in the Liverpool Cathedral.
During 2014 & 15 the band toured the world extensively to promote Distant Satellites both as a full band and also with a stripped down acoustic show. It was the band’s performance at a one-off show at Gloucester Cathedral in 2014 that opened up a new chapter, giving them an opportunity to set the music in an ornate, beautiful environment. In March 2015 the band played an acoustic tour of Cathedrals in the UK that culminated in a sold out show in the impressive Liverpool Cathedral, the band’s hometown.

Lee Douglas has one of those voices that makes you shed more than one tear when you hear her sing. How I wish I could see them together again.

I discovered Anathema in 2020 in COVID 19 era and i lost my mind with their music!!!
I listened everything i found on TH-cam and after i bought the optimist CD and Universal DVD for support, about that time i have learnt that Anathema maybe disbanded and i felt sorry.
I wish to return into music,all the members are charismatic and brilliant and have many more beautiful songs to give.
I love Anathema ❤.

Lee Douglas has such a beautiful voice. I love the modulation she adds to longer notes. Simply adorable. People like Adele get all the plaudits but really she is not half the singer Lee is. That's hype for you ....

I'll admit I've heard more from Anathema than I have of Adele, but what I remember about Adele is that she has brief moments in her songs that absolutely shake your soul. However, I find Lee's voice to be more captivating throughout the full length of her songs, and that's ultimately more important to me. I think that makes her better at conveying the overall complexity and depth of the emotional states that her songs are trying to capture.
