Can someone describe to me the first craft at :08 . Are you just tying a knot like the very first part of tying your shoes? And you do that all the way across? Are you doing it with the first strand all the way across and then what do you do with that strand? Why does it appear to be in a point in the middle? I must not I have a grasp on this. Look up "Friendship Bracelet" there are all sorts of how to's on line and books about it. including an excellent one by Camilla Gryski. Yes, it's a half hitch knot like the first part of tying your shoes. You can do it all the way across or halfway across, then do the same from the other side and tie the two threads together in the middle.
I never went to a for real summer camp, but i did go to camp for lile a week as a field trip. But we never did these things. We did sports and stuff Only one of these i ever actually did was the colorful sand one, but that was in art class lol

We used colored chalk and rubbed it over salt. Did a lot of these kind of crafts in VBS :-)
