Instead, the stave churches seem to be built for a different set of rituals, probably a more norse type of catholic christianity.
And now the Hagia Sophia is a mosque. PM Erdogan many months ago, declared the church returned to Islam and is now one of the largest Mosques in Istanbul.

If you have the chance to visit La Sagrada Familia make sure to take a few minutes to view it from the Park across the street. Also, I disagree that the beauty is on the inside. It is stunning by the carvings on the outside of the Basilica are just as amazing. Best to get a guide book that gives the details otherwise it is a lot to take in.
