- I love how, in the first 'One Week' scene it's so quick yet complicated, all so he can be alone with his new wife.
Clips from 'One Week', 'Backstage', 'The Cameraman' & 'Spite Marriage'
Music by Linda Lyndell.
It's not easy fitting all I want to show in these videos, there are so many wonderful Buster antics.
I wish i could find a guy who treats ladies the way Buster did.
So sweet! I love that ending with the kiss. What a man and what a woman! Hell, what a hottie!
I am so in love with Buster Keaton. He was so beautiful. And his dance moves put Michael Jackson to shame.
That's why I love him! ♥️🌹👏🏽
I love the last scene. :)
Very nice! While I'm not as familiar with Keaton's repertoire as I am Chaplin's, I think this is a great compilation to show off just how far-ranging Buster's talents were! An acrobat bar none, a stuntman, and a fearless guy not afraid to defend a lady... and all the while being funny as heck with a straight face! This one's going on my "silent films" playlist. :-) Good work!
FANTASTIC!!!!!!
P.S. Understandably, many fans wish Keaton & Chaplin had done more movies together besides "Limelight", but now after seeing these great clips again, I'm sorta glad that they didn't (which SURPRISES me)! Why? To me, both were SO GOOD at what they did with physical comedy (Chaplin doing his best physical work in his earliest silents) that I'd get whiplash trying to focus on one or the other! This way, one never distracted from the other so they each got their rightful highlights/stardom!
@TheBookWorm1718
And it is SO good!
I think the world needs a good Buster Keaton Biopic.
@TheBookWorm1718 Well, this is true - I certainly see your point. I was just especially thinking of that one spot amidst the dancing scene in "Backstage" where he does jump-spins 'round and 'round. :) In any case, I think he was truly amazing!
yeah? I'll have to look at them. I love it, I've watched it like 6 times. X)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I've used clips like the ones you've mentioned in other edits of mine I think...I've just tried to use different bits and pieces in each video. :)
Soooo lovely! OMG
Such a wonderful video! Great music to go with Buster's terrific stunts! No one is as good as Buster!
What man!
Thank you so much, now 2 of your vids are my favorites (Mad About the Boy is the other)! You have excellent taste in selecting clips of the gorgeous Buster, who has mesmerized me for years. That one where he jumps into Fatty's arms is priceless!! Great work.
It's wonderful!
I could like this a thousand times! It made me giggle and blush! lol
Great job and thank you for making my day. :)
I wish you would have put a little more of the waterfall scene though, when he swings out and catches her. And also the scene where are the brides are chasing him in "Seven Chances"!
And maybe some from "Three Ages".
And isn't 1.00 from Our Hospitality? Or am I remembering totally wrong? It's been awhile since I've watched it...
Again, this is such a lovely video! :)
Emily Palmer Yes you are right, it is from "Our Hospitality" 👍
Another very nice video. =)
@21JumpStreetKid 'King & Queen' is from 'Backstage' & the other is from 'Spite Marriage'. :)
Poor Fatty... it's so sad what happened to him. He & Buster made a heck of a team.
@TheBookWorm1718 "HALF an acrobat", he said? Huh; I wonder why - methinks maybe Mr. Keaton was being a little too modest? Of course, this was the same guy who was *reportedly* quoted as saying that Chaplin was the greatest comedian of all. I don't know if Buster really said that or not, but if he did this, coming from another outstanding comic genuis, I think is amazingly humble! ;-)
Thankyou! Hehe. Unfortunately I haven't seen Allez Oop, it's one of the few that has escaped me.
@tyjeffries I don't honestly know. I just took the footage from box set DVDs i bought. I know some (or it might just be The General) of this films are available on Blu Ray now and that's just breath taking quality. Thanks for commenting.
@TheBookWorm1718 May I add a hallelujah to that. Buster's life is so compelling. I think Elijah Wood would make a great Buster Keaton . They've got a similar build, the same puppy eyes, and Elijah can be very deadpan. WAKE UP, HOLLYWOOD!!!
@Lecy1982 Thank you!
@nateandsophie LOL - heck, I think nearly everything Buster did put many OTHERS to shame, as well! :-D
@TheBookWorm1718 Well it is cute and entertaining. BK has an autobiography? What is the title? I'd LOVE to check it out.
@TakersMissy THANKYOU! :)
What is the one of Keaton and Arbuckle dancing?
all* not are
Thanks for posting this! :) What is the clip at 2.00 from?
Emily Palmer that is from "Backstage"
