    do you have any advice on learning music from scratch? I have little knowledge of general musical theory but want to start producing drain type beats

    • @ThomasCameUp
      @ThomasCameUp  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes! If I would start over again I would not jump into third party plugins so quick as I did. (So no fabfilter, serum, ect ect) why you may ask?.
      The fruity plugins are great for beginners to learn so I would definitely recommend only using those for a while until you have mastered your DAW and you start finding limitations of what these plugins can do.
      For example the fruity EQ if you on one day feel like a dynamic EQ works better in the situation you are in, only then I think you should look for a Dynamic EQ and start using that, if later down the line you find limitations in that EQ and for example you want to EQ the left and right channels separately then you could upgrade to the fabfilter pro 2.
      (These are just examples I know that some of these things can be done with fl stock plugins but I hope you get the idea)
      This applies on every effect/synth in your DAW
      This way you don’t skip a whole batch of learning and information about the basics of the effects/synthesisers. And I know people will recommend these high end plugins over and over again but trust me if you invest just a little bit of your time in these stock plugins to really get to know the effects/synths you will learn 100 times faster. music is not a race do it at your own pace! Hope this helped!:)

    you should try to make a sherman beat where you do your own stuff with It and not try to replicate the beats. you go hard tho🔥

    if i remember correctly i think the pluck came from a sample

    • @ThomasCameUp
      @ThomasCameUp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could be correct! they like to sample a lot, but I thought is was cool to show how you could sound design something similar, and maybe this way create a unique sound:)
