- So this is how ya do it! Many hours, creativity and thought went in to making this night a reality. My NINTH(!) Met Gala has been one of the best.
Thank you Brandon Maxwell for creating my dream gown, George Cortina for the most to-die-for look, Melanie Inglesias and Harry Josh for the most youthful and fresh make up and hair.

I love her confidence that she'll be ready in 45 minutes, "get touched up, get my dress on, then we'll go" as if the dress wasn't the most stressful part of the night. Even I had the fear 😂
Why is it so hard for people to be on theme? Lol. Karlie could wear that dress anywhere else but imagine if she followed this years theme..my mind is going wild with ideas!!! 😩 You could have KILLED it!
agree with your comment, but, i have seen KK in her catwalks and she wore some kind of the theme they have that evening, as i said, KK just was happy to be there...it's just another night and some enjoyed the Heavenly Bodies theme alright. They did an elegant black long gown with red high heel shoes, the top of the icing..she is truly a pretty girl....
sarai637 was thinking the same Thing. Designers should play around with ideas when you go to the met gala. Its one of the few events where Designers could really go wild and how their creative side. I think this was a missed opportunity. You already have karly kloss to wear your clothes the next best thing is to send her out with a bang. This was a nice dress dont get me wrong. But it was boring...

The dress was boring and overly safe. Could have been worn anywhere, even at another red carpet event I would consider this a bit of a meh piece. But at the Met Gala? it's worse than boring. The Met Gala is the time to go ALL OUT. To wear something very over the top, to play with fashion and to really highlight the art of fashion/ Work to the theme, and pull something out that is surprising, and really shows the creativity of designers and the artistry of dressmakers and jewelers. It's a real chance to CELEBRATE art.
instead... a boring black sheath gown. lol...
The music on this is just pure, ethereal divinity and Karlie herself looks like some classical Greek sculptor's idealized woman set in stone.
She has a heavenly body so the dress framed it as opposed to just exposing it . Looked fab

Karlie's style is timeless and elegant. There's no need to explicitly where a cross or religious garments to fit the theme. It's all open to interpretation and this was her interpretation. Besos.

enreeeee it is a theme gala and it is expected to go as the theme that was placed, there are many places to wear simple red carpet looks and this wasn’t the time or the location. She should have worn something more out there because the met gala celebrates the artistic interpretations that designers have of said theme. I’m disappointed she went with such a simple look when could have worn something regarding the theme and still looked as beautiful.
Anna K It's a themed gala, so it's an assumption that what is worn to the event is their interpretation.

I tell women that fewl insecure to watch what you go through and the times you get a 24 hour call to be across the world for a shoot. The packing vid was excellent. This week I sailed on a little boat with 2 women that were talking about packing so I told them about your video. Love the view of your world and your infinite patience.

just understated, you don't have to put crosses all over your body to fit the theme.
Chan Janie unfortunately that's what most people did *cough* kim,,, but zendaya perfectly fit the theme and didnt use any crosses which i thought was great
most peoples didn't put crosses and were on theme... Blake Livery, Rosie Huntington, Kate Bosworth, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, zendaya and so many others Karlie wore a black dress that she could have warn to any other event, nothing to do with the met Gala.
I would have done an updo, jewels, and a crown adornment of some sort. Not just the dress.

Karlie, to be honest, I've never really watched your videos. This is the first video i watched and honestly, my respect for you just grew. This video showed a lot about who you are as a person.
