Really, if you had any real world experiences such as being in the Army Rangers you would know that we only wore Casio G-Shock watch for they are the only timepiece we all put our lives on, I served for six years in conditions you would not survive one day and the only real feeling of home was when you looked down at your G-Shock and just seeing that beautiful buddy on my wrist would give me hope that we all will make it back home and my G-Shock always gave me the time that we were getting close. G-Shock DW-6900 with tough solar and atomic clock setting is most outstanding!
I agree. G shock was by far the most popular military watch found during my time in the service. There were a few exceptions, and a few Timex in the early 2000s. I never saw a Rolex, Hamilton, Tudor, etc.
The title led me to believe that ten alternative watches would be presented. I think a G Shock featured in this video. Maybe you missed it due to your real world experiences which no one else could possibly survive? Of course, other units from other countries may prefer alternatives but hey, they’re not Rangers, right.
I like Marathon watches. Plain, legible, clear dials and hands. No frills. No dizzy designs. Jusf a tough, clear, reliable watch. When i was in college army ROTC in 1980, my colonel was 5th SF. He wore a stainless Rolex Sub with the De Oppreso Libre emblem silver soldered to the clasp. Looked so cool. I'm sure it was not a field watch but a garrison watch. Veterans who had gone to Vietnam tend to wear Seiko or Rolex. Digital watches were not invented yet so if you wanted a reliable, tough, durable mechanical watch, it was Seiko or Rolex. Rolex was also available in many PX at a much more afforable price.
G-Shock is the first choice and therefore the best watch in terms of price/performance. Nevertheless, the Luminox Series 3000 is a great watch with an outstanding wearing comfort
That sounds great! Having friends in SF who use Garmin must be helpful for exploring the city together. The Marathon watch does have an appealing design. Checking it out might be a good idea to see if it suits your preferences and needs.@@ExSoldier762
@@Outdoorsurvivalgear lol, I’m a retired educator. I’ll stick with my Luminox. The Marathon is waaaay out of my price range. I spent about $600 for the Luminox as a retirement gift for myself.
Anything which you need to charge and/or with bluetooth connectivity would not be the best choice in a military environment. For me, it is either F-91W or GW-9500-1JF
The " its plastic junk " feel won't leave the lumivox owner experience. Those that obsess over weight I'd assume would oddly enjoy it. Lume is weak as weak gets.

Six whole years! Thank you for your service...

I wore the same Gshock on the flight deck for 10 years and still have it after 10 more.
The Marathon watch i've been looking for..a shock resistant automatic watch.❤
...I have an Amazfit T-Rex 2 and a Traser P96! Wonderful watch!
I would replace the Garmin Instinct 2 with the new model (2x). It has better features and has a flashlight that can be changed into night vision mode.
G Shock💯
I love my Breitling Superocean. It may not be a military watch, but it is accurate and rugged. It's been on my wrist 24/7 from 2008.
My favorite 🤙🤙
CASIO Gw9400 Rangeman, the best military watch!

Thanks for sharing.
Glad to see Luminox led the pack. I have a slightly different model but I bought it because it will outlast me.
I have a bunch of friends in SF that use the Garmin. But I also like the looks of the Marathon watch. I might have to check it out.

@ExSoldier762 which Garmin?

that was incredible. what a beautiful watch and what great work you did on it!amzwatch
Surprised to see Casio GD350 not being one on the list 😢
If “Navy Seal” is in the name of the watch, it’s probably just a marketing ploy. Would you wear something to war with your unit name/type on it???
How much ultrasonic noise do these things give off? Not that easy to be invisible if a dog can hear your watch working.
It's best video till now about military watches
Glad you like the video.

The Garmin fenix 7x pro sapphire solar is the best
Taser and Marathon❤
SRP777J1 SEIKO the best
MUDMASTER !!! drop the mic

My Luminox lume was dead after four years. Just sayin'.
Luminox is not a watch I would trust. Very poor quality
