- While on the phone with a friend she challenged me to hang up and share my latest craft space updates, without cleaning or organizing or putting things away. So, here you go Kim. Updated craft room 😊

Good to see somebody that has more than 1 bin of scraps. I have many small boxes and bags of leftovers. And I love your sewing drawers. I have some that I have my ATCs in. They are the perfect size. Beautiful organized space!

I can imagine going in there maybe feeling a bit stressed, closing the door, and your spirits lifted immediately, surrounded by all your glorious drawers, boxes and treasures. Stunning (I gave a wee squeal when I saw all the HP Lego !! Unfortunately I had my headphones on while watching, and it turned out my wee squeal was a bit louder than I thought, as Eric just about fell out of the chair as he got such a fright 😂🤣😂🤣😂)❤️🏴❤️

Come on over Paula! This was the main guest room before I moved my craft room from the cave to this windowed space, but there is room for a bed in here 😊

We use the craft room as a guest room too with a queen inflatable. Multi tasking!
LOL. We do have a guest room. Ish. It's not heated and was my former craftroom (a framed in section of the garage), so this room is plan B... and NOT for little kids 😊

Love this room. I don’t know how you remember what’s in all of those bins, drawers and trays, though, Cori. With my lousy memory, I’d spend half my time opening and closing them, looking for what I knew was in them “maybe.” My space is half of a small 2nd bedroom that functions also as an office as well as the most used entryway to my condo. And most of one of the larger walls is a 6ft wide, 5ft high window. Very bright but almost no wall space. So I have white open cabinets from Michaels with plastic project covered storage bins and labels to help my brain. 😉 Not pretty at all. But nothing vintage looking like your wonderful space.
Thank you and I use most of the things often enough that I remember where they are. Mostly. And when I don't remember, I go hunting 😊

Thank you. The desk mostly stays fairly tidy as mess stresses me out. But, it's definitely not often pristine. Glue and ink remains everywhere 😊

LOL! Me too! I imagine wands in those boxes sometimes which allows me to justify keeping more piano roll than I can use in two lifetimes 😁

It's beautiful! I'm very envious, as I live in a small space and don't have a craft room, just a craft "shelf" and fold down table, and supplies that regularly spill out into the rest of the room. But I enjoy looking at the craft rooms of others :)

This is goals. You have no idea how lucky you are that so much vintage & antique materials are available in the vicinity of where you live. I can only dream. Or fly 5000 miles on a major antique vintage estate sale market mall shopping spree, which I can’t afford so.. dreaming and watching TH-cam 😅
Thank you and a good chunk of these were not purchased in western WA. I love a good road trip and seek antique malls and auctions when I travel. I'd say the midwest is responsible for over half of my treasures 😊 Not quite 5000 miles, but a solid 2K.

You have such a wonderful craft room. My room is 8x8 and I'm running two businesses in it. It is so crowded I can't move. Someday I hope to have one of the bedrooms but for now, it is full of my husband's stuff.

Wow, you have a great craft room. I'm currently working on my kitchen table and that is enough for now. I have a craft room but there is so much stuff in it. There is no storage, except for clothes closets in the bedrooms. I have no place for coats, linens, a vacuum or anything else that you store away. It's all in my craft room. I've been meaning to get to it but...
I hear that! We took out our entry closet when we moved in and finding space for those things was a challenge. A kitchen table is a great space to create in 😊

I love, love, love the sewing machine drawers! Also all the enamel ware. Cori, I have a question. One of my favorite things to do is using Nuvo on small tags and labels before embellishing with them. Yesterday I put several out and then put Nuvo on them and came out this morning and they are curled up. I will still use them but I wondered if I could do something in the future to prevent this. Thank you for the tour!
Thank you and yes, the thinner paper often curls. When using copy paper and Nuvo I adhere the item/piece into its final iteration before I add the Nuvo. The additional weight helps prevent the curl. Additionally, after the top coat is completely dry you can place the curled item in a press board and clamp it to get it to mostly straighten out.

Love it! Thank you! if you're still taking requests😃, I would be so interested in how you start and finish projects. Do you keep an idea book? Do you decide and then go around and shop your stash? And when done, where do you put those scraps? are your scraps categorized? Hope you don't mind the questions! I love your room!!
LOL 😁 Starting projects I've got down pat.... but finishing them is another story! So many of the bins in here are partially completed projects. Maybe my word for 2024 should be "finish" 😊 I start projects based on ideas and inspiration. I have several idea books and those are, in fact, my favorite books to make. Most of the time I begin with my scraps and move on from there and yes, the trays at the beginning of the video are my scrap sorting system. I think I show that much more clearly in another video. There are 8 enamelware containers with scraps sorted by type. The ninth container is under my sewing machine and I toss scraps there as I make them, then I either use them up or sort them into the correct bins before going on to another project. I keep most scraps. If a color or style doesn't sing to me and I keep bypassing it for something else, it goes into the recycle bin so it can begin life again. Thank you; my room makes me happy 😊

Five-ish years of hunting antique malls, estate sales and vintage auctions. When I find a drawer I don't have, that is reasonably priced, I swoop. Function and beauty is a win in my book 😊

Oh gosh. I have two sewing machines in this room, but only use the newer one. The old machine is for display, though it does work. I think I have about 50 different sewing machine drawers.

Thank you! I've found the majority at antique malls and auctions. Estate sales can be a good source too, but I've had the best luck at antique malls.

Cori where did you get the little black weights sitting on your desk they almost look like chest prongs like for a chest board. What do you also use them for. You have never show them. Thanks so much I have missed you being gone for a while. ❤
Those cuties are magnets! I got mine on Amazon and they are strong and not at all spendy. I think I looked up strong magnets or magnets with handles. They come in other colors as well. Since I rarely do large projects you don't often see them used on camera. My glass mat is magnetized and I love that.

LOL! Nope, not cut. Well, yes. I did cut 4-5 inches off because the ends were so thin. But the cameo was completely unintentional so the oversized sweats and the hair tucked into my shirt where a bonus view 😁 My hair is still plenty long to put in a pony or tie into a knot.

LOL. Yes, I turned what was the spare room (aka, grandkid room) into my craft room when 3 of the "kids" all moved last year. I swapped my old craft room (a framed in area in the garage) for the room with the window. So, it is a craft room that can double (in a pinch) as an extra guest room.

LOL. Even when I think it's a "mess" others look at me like I'm crazy. My classroom is the same way, much to the chagrin of my students 😊
