Zombie Island came out when I was 1 and I watched it when I was 4 or 5. It was my first real monster scooby doo movie. It scared the crap outta me, and those voodoo dolls absolutely freaked me the hell out because I thought it was a real thing
TechWiz717 Same! I thought all the monsters were people in masks, this’ll be fun, then suddenly the zombies were actually real? Took me forever to watch the whole way through without freaking out.
Films need to stop using attractive actresses, putting glasses on them and suddenly considering them "unattractive". Linda Cardellini is an absolute 10/10.
I know that Daphne is supposed to be “The Hot One”, but Velma is *so clearly hotter* than daphne. Let’s be realistic here. Glasses rarely make someone that attractive less attractive. Plus, she’s also the smartest one of the group. What else does daphne have to offer?
They actually explain why Daphne can fight in the first movie. She got tired of being the damsel in distress so while they were shortly broken up she took martial arts classes and that’s why she can fight in the second movie
They explain a lot of things that CinemaSins pretends are plotholes. For instance, the whole "where did they get the frying pans" bit at the beginning. In the movie, there's an establishing shot right before the footage CS uses that shows them about to go through what looks like an omelet bar. They could still make a sin out of why there's an omelet bar at an evening function, or why we don't see more pans than Shaggy and Scooby use. Instead, despite both characters using pans, they make up some shit about Scooby using a bowl (which he doesn't). My guess is they did this because they wanted a sin here, yet couldn't tell if it was an omelet bar or not. They're calling out movies for lack of creativity when they themselves lack the creativity to find a more workable sin for the scene. I know your comment is old, and this is a long reply. But as a fan of CinemaSins, this bugs me. They can do better. When they don't, I assume it's because they chose not to.
13:23 - "On occassion, in a couple of the incarnations, they have thrown in real ghosts and goblins, but those were always the LEAST APPEALING." I'm sorry, WHAT!? Boo Brothers? Ghoul School? Zombie Island? Witches' Ghost? Alien Invaders? Cyber Chase? Mystery Inc.? Scoobynatural!? Arguably the films / serials (aside from the live action ones) where the monsters are real are some of THE most beloved titles of the entire franchise.
... you DO know that the "in a couple of the incarnations, they have thrown in real ghosts and goblins, they were always the least appealing" but, he is talking about JUST scooby doo, right? he's not talking about sort of horror shows with monsters in general. he means, the scooby doo stuff with REAL monsters generally didn't do so well. might as well said something like an episode of one show with a few AI as the bad guy things that didn't work out so great, and someone mentioning that they didn't do great, is an insult to any fucking thing with AI in it.
*Finding Nemo* when the bombs blew up the submarine with the sharks inside and the bubbles hit the surface next to two pelicans. *Toy Story 2* during the bloopers
I liked Monsters Unleashed fore than the first film as a kid, and I still do now. It just feels more like a proper Scooby-Doo movie, with one of Mystery Inc's old foes coming for revenge and forcing them to revisit their past by fighting old monsters and remembering how and why they do what they do.
16:20 Matthew Lillard made his fellow actors on set laugh That has to be a sin off people lol 😂 Look at Velma, yeah the character is “scared” but she is about to fricking laugh when shaggy said that
Scrappy is an eldritch horror like Char Gar Gothakon from Mystery Inc. Scooby was blessed by the all powerful deity that is Shaggy and Scrappy was burdened, instead.
Fun fact: Property Insurance usually only covers theft if there is also vandalism. There was vandalism, possibly terrorism, so that would cover all of the museum's losses.
I love how scooby doo is multi generational, so many iterations, shows and movies. It’s just cool how I grew up on scooby doo in the late 90s/ early 2000s, but so did ppl as early as the 60s grew up on it.
I remember when cinema sins used to just point out the inconsistencies and plot holes of movies but now they spend 80% of the video telling you that jokes aren’t funny.
It was so popular they made a return to it which came out not to long ago. But after zombie island cyber chase comes close second. And third is hard to choose between the one with the hex girls or the one where scooby and shaggy become teachers for Dracula, wolf-man, Frankenstein and the mummys kids
the biggest injustice in human history is the fact that the black knight harley davidson bon jovi joust scene got sinned. it is singularly the greatest moment in cinema history.
Why did this video make me love this movie even more? It’s already one of my favorites, silly as it is. I know the script by heart. And somehow pointing out the absurdities a la Cinemasins just makes me love it even more. And Matthew deserved that sin off, don’t feel bad. He’s a gd treasure.
you've actually got a sense of proportion about shit and can take potential criticism about something without getting unrealistically upset about it, and seemingly taking it personally when it's got fuck all to do with you. unlike dozens of people in the comments seemingly that went "cinema sins made a video where he criticized a movie, how DARE he do that!" despite also being seemingly aware of his work beforehand, as that is LITERALLY the point of the channel. it being a movie you like does not utterly invalidate what the entire channel is about. apparently every majorly popular movie is totally up for grabs, but not this fucking movie because they've got feels about it. so, congrats, you're better than the majority of humankind in this area. it just spins me out that THIS fucking movie, this is the one that people can't take criticism over. i don't care how nostalgic you feel over it, it's kinda a ridiculous movie and someone calling it out for that doesn't equate to "fuck you, i used to LIKE your work, man!"
@@PersephoneDaSilva Sure fooled a TON of viewers in Spider-man: Far from Home as pretty much nobody initially spotted Jake Gyllenhaal when he's standing behind Peter (this is before he and Peter officially meet) and even does a full turn looking at him. Great Danes run at an average of 28mph. Scooby Doo is a Great Dane. Him and Shaggy are always seen running side by side and in the cartoons. This means that Shaggy beats Usain Bolt's high speed of 23mph. Technically Shaggy is the world's fastest human alive.

Maxwell Rayside thats what i meant, sorry if that wasnt clear. Im soo tired after my shift XD.... i meant... he did such a good job as shaggy in the movies that he was such an obvious choice for shaggy in the cartoons after the fact.
Well yeah. The only two acceptable shaggy voices have been Casey Kasum and Matthew Lilard. Since Casey Kasum died in 2014, Lilard has played pretty much every shaggy in every scooby doo tv show/movie since.
I'm not sure I'd call him a good Shaggy, but I don't think that was his fault. And he did commit brilliantly to the role and carry it off as well as was possible given the circumstances. He's easily the best thing about the movie, even if I don't enjoy his performance. A human trying to act like a cartoon character is never a good choice, but the way he did it certainly helps to tie all the terrible animation into the "real" world of the movie. The weird part is that the cartoons weren't cartoony and Shaggy was pretty normal. It would be nice to see what he could do with a Scooby Doo movie that actually understood the source material.
I just realized I have mixed the two movies together in my head. I can’t remember enough about either one so in my mind when I go blank I mix in the other movie haha

He wasn't talking about the evil masked dude, he was talking about Tar Monster, Captain Cutler, Skeleton Men and those guys. They were mostly after jewels or money in their respective episode but here they're murderous
@@alexandernickaboine4798 I mean, yeah, but they're *actual* monsters here. The ones after jewels and etc. were the people that wore them when they were costumes. Of course the real versions (of the monsters) would be murderous.
Did Jeremy watch dis movie cuz in almost all the attacks if the Scooby Gang didn't Bob and weave the right way they would have been as dead as dogs

"The incarnations where the monsters are real are less appealing"
Uhhhh
zombie island?
Witches ghost?
Mystery Inc.?
Zombie Island came out when I was 1 and I watched it when I was 4 or 5. It was my first real monster scooby doo movie. It scared the crap outta me, and those voodoo dolls absolutely freaked me the hell out because I thought it was a real thing
I think Ghoul School was pretty good despite it not being like most Scooby Doo stuff
TechWiz717 Same! I thought all the monsters were people in masks, this’ll be fun, then suddenly the zombies were actually real? Took me forever to watch the whole way through without freaking out.
fuckin BOO BROTHERS
Yes, thank you! I came to the comments wanting respect for these
Films need to stop using attractive actresses, putting glasses on them and suddenly considering them "unattractive". Linda Cardellini is an absolute 10/10.
This movie would go down in history as the best sequel ever, if it wasn't for those meddling Sins!

I know that Daphne is supposed to be “The Hot One”, but Velma is *so clearly hotter* than daphne. Let’s be realistic here. Glasses rarely make someone that attractive less attractive. Plus, she’s also the smartest one of the group. What else does daphne have to offer?
You mean besides the fact she is the main DPS of the group?
make sure to copypaste your comments on the third movie too, if it ever comes out
Ryan Mohnen Will do, sir.
Love how there is still some fans out there that argue over which make believe characters are hotter.

Ashton 21 Thank me later th-cam.com/video/qm6DOm20Kbs/w-d-xo.html
As it should be
They actually explain why Daphne can fight in the first movie.
Of course just take a few lessons and you can beat up men twice your size.
13:23 - "On occassion, in a couple of the incarnations, they have thrown in real ghosts and goblins, but those were always the LEAST APPEALING."
I'm sorry, WHAT!? Boo Brothers? Ghoul School? Zombie Island? Witches' Ghost? Alien Invaders? Cyber Chase? Mystery Inc.? Scoobynatural!? Arguably the films / serials (aside from the live action ones) where the monsters are real are some of THE most beloved titles of the entire franchise.
Ghoul school!!!
... you DO know that the "in a couple of the incarnations, they have thrown in real ghosts and goblins, they were always the least appealing" but, he is talking about JUST scooby doo, right?
he's not talking about sort of horror shows with monsters in general. he means, the scooby doo stuff with REAL monsters generally didn't do so well.
might as well said something like an episode of one show with a few AI as the bad guy things that didn't work out so great, and someone mentioning that they didn't do great, is an insult to any fucking thing with AI in it.
“Is there one kid’s movie that doesn’t have a fart joke of some kind?”

I loved it as a kid
If daph and Velma were together, I would remove every single sin
fun fact: Shaggy's real name is Norville Rogers
Did not know that.
Not that I doubt it,
But proof?
@@CasperVonGhoul This movie states that Shaggy's last name is Rogers. In the new Scoob! animated film, young Shaggy introduces himself as Norville.
Logan Lopez in this film it literally tells you the names of scoobert “scooby” doo and norville “shaggy” rogers
Montana Bobinski it also says it in mystery incorperated im pretty sure
I absolutely adore this movie, like yeah there are some mistakes but damn, i was growing up on this. love the new intro btw.
16:20
Matthew Lillard made his fellow actors on set laugh
That has to be a sin off people lol 😂
Look at Velma, yeah the character is “scared” but she is about to fricking laugh when shaggy said that
Scooby and Shaggy eating the cotton candy monster is still a part of this movie that I can laugh at to this day
That scene is too ridiculous
A sin to you for no “I know what you did last summer” reference when referencing Sarah Michelle Gellar’s other films.

*HEATHERS! ACKNOWLEDGEMENT!* Holy shit, you HAVE to make a video on this glorious gem of a movie. And if you already have, then SHOW ME.
"Why can only Scooby and Scrappy talk"
Because Scooby is a descendant from ancient gods or "aliens". Dunno bout Scrappy. Might be the same answer.
Scooby and Scrappy are related so it’s safe to say he’s a descendant as well
But that’s just a theory. A FILM THEORY! Anddddd..... CUT
Poor Scrappy. Am I the only one who never hated him?
yes
Scrappy is an eldritch horror like Char Gar Gothakon from Mystery Inc.
Scooby was blessed by the all powerful deity that is Shaggy and Scrappy was burdened, instead.
Fun fact: Property Insurance usually only covers theft if there is also vandalism. There was vandalism, possibly terrorism, so that would cover all of the museum's losses.
Yeah that's fun
So if you're a victim of theft make it look like vandalism also happened.
“Every other freakin day of my life” was always my favorite part of this movie
This was actually one of my favorite childhood movies...

Definitely top 3
Same, this was the bomb. Rewatched this and the first live-action Scooby Doo movie all the time. It was simpler times lol.
You're probably the same kind of people that enjoy The goonies too... -_-
I don’t care how many sins this gets, Scooby Doo 2 was my shit, and the potion scene was so satisfying
Merch Bros right!
I love how scooby doo is multi generational, so many iterations, shows and movies. It’s just cool how I grew up on scooby doo in the late 90s/ early 2000s, but so did ppl as early as the 60s grew up on it.
"locating your fans by smell"
ITS A STONER REFERENCE AND IT WAS HILARIOUS to me
Never got it as a child, but seeing it again now it finally hit me and it's great
I remember when cinema sins used to just point out the inconsistencies and plot holes of movies but now they spend 80% of the video telling you that jokes aren’t funny.
Exactly they’re just stale and padding the sin count bro

“Talking is for wimps” Jeremy sins. *Fred opens up* Jeremy sins. 🤨
This slapped as a kid 👏🔥 also can we just point out the best scooby doo movie is on zombie island
It definitely is but the cyber one was my favorite as a kid.
5:53 ok that bunny joke got me laughing my ass off as a kid 😂
Still does me every time I see it.
Me too
I was thinking he would remove a sin for that one
THE WAY HE SAYS BUNNY HAHAH
The fact that the only sins removed from either movie revolve around Matthew Lilard pleases me
Why did this video make me love this movie even more?

I guess Shaggy went to the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom School of Adopting a Full Disguise by Putting on a Hat.
Or the Joe Goldberg School of staying incognito
A lot of people in media think that a hat or hat and sunglasses combo is a legitimate disguise. It's not.
@@PersephoneDaSilva Sure fooled a TON of viewers in Spider-man: Far from Home as pretty much nobody initially spotted Jake Gyllenhaal when he's standing behind Peter (this is before he and Peter officially meet) and even does a full turn looking at him. The first one was the island right?
For sure
nah the 1st one was better
@@Kyzr_Signal Yep.

Scooby is a canonical alien according to the Mystery Incorporated show, which is why he and Scrappy can talk... but we don't talk about Scrappy
He's not an anunaki. He's a descendant of one. One of them even said that not all descendants can talk but some are able and that not all animals are anunaki descendants. Scooby just happens to be one. Being a descendant of a being doesn't make you said being
Scrappy kept us from having Tim Curry appear in the first film (because he reportedly hated Scrappy) so yeah let's not discuss that little twerp. XD

Mystery Inc is an alternate timeline, so it's not part of this cannon
Matthew lilard was such a good shaggy hes been shaggy in the cartoons for a long time. This movie and the one before it arent good but considering his main job is acting with no one he does a damn fine job.
He actually became the voice of Shaggy after the movies!
Do It fair
2:11 not to mention, saying that the black knight is your first case and then mentioning chickenstien contradicts everything on so many levels
