I create digital art as well as traditional art and like both forms of creation, both need to be an inspiration for humanity to be of lasting value 😎thank you have a good day
I thought I might share my experience. I started in 2021 in digital art because at that time, I couldn't afford the space for painting mixed media and oil, which is what I do now. I thought of myself as an illustrator when, in reality, I was always painting digitally. AI and NFT came through, and it made me realise that the value I saw in my subjects and voice had to have an equally special technique and format. I shifted into traditional art. For the shake of my art, my career, and to be in the "right" place. At the end of the day, I have always been a traditional painter despite circumstances in life not allowing me to do it. I look at my peers who do digital art, whether they are graphic designers, editorial illustrators or digital artists. They have it rough, I do too, but not as much.
I think that digital art can be equated with physical art without any problem. On the other hand, I personally think NFTs are a big scam. The only thing that appeals to me is that the artist receives a percentage of the sales amount with every sale.
Sadly, digital art cannot be compared to traditional art. Take it from me, 3 years ago I was building my portfolio in illustration. It's once again, the luxury of having ONLY 1 original. It happens similarly with printmaking. The only equivalent for digital art would be to sell the psd file, krita file or clip studio paint file.
NFT is merely a tool to prove authenticity, not a “type” of art. so yall no need to be scared, just make art, whether you want it to be an nft is your choice. do your own research tho.
I’d love to figure out how to translate my physical art objects also into small, affordable NFTs. Making a viewer or app of some kind, making it easily displayed in the home, must be addressed.
I think those problems have solutions but as a package aren't widely adopted by consumers. There are cheaper blockchains that support NFTs than Ethereum, like Polygon. As for displays, NFTs can be viewed on almost any device or screen. But that faces the same problem as digital picture frames. Some people took to them and some didn't.
Not knowing the difference between phenomena and expression is even worse approach in making art now. Artificial Intelligence nowadays can assist artists ideas and vision as long as it is clear and realistic. art no longer will need to be painted by hand. what is important for artists now is not education but accepting abundant information.
So cool. I can't wait until nobody picks up a paintbrush or an acoustic guitar anymore. Too much work, it takes literally hours. After all, tech bros know best. Our children will be grateful for the grift. They will ignore more art than ever at faster rates! Thanks for saving humans from the hard work of producing and appreciating real art!
@@quentingood8967 better the future goes, artist will have to distinguish their art much clearer and deliberately. All artists must find their own vision. Without it, it will be considered as education.
so many scammers in the NFT realm. Im getting asked on Instagram to collaborate with NFT collectors .Complete scammers have ruined NFTs for me Im not interested in the least.

I created a reference in blender3d for one of my latest oil paintings, gotta say it worked out well.
What about hybrid NFTs? Are there spaces where you can mint for intance a photo of a painting and offer the actual painting as a plus?

It's strange to equate digital art and NFT like they are the same thing.
Agree 99% with you, brilliant analysis; Thanks
