Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Very good writing sir
I like it when the colours are not covering too much and the little imperfections. So it looks vital and really handmade. Great work!
Yeah it has a certain appeal for sure!
My grandfather was a commercial artist drawing/painting advertisements and signs for a few larger retailers back in the day. I never got a chance to meet him. But now I’m my 30’s and starting to take a serious interest in it.
Your videos are well done man. Just the right style to be informative yet entertaining.
Merry Christmas man!! 😊
Thanks Jeremy! Really glad you enjoy it. You do much yourself?
@@theletterhead I just started recently. I wanted to hand paint the lettering on my motorcycle fuel tank. That got me looking into it. I’m looking forward to learning!
I'm a retired signwriter in Australia that does some work on the side for fun. Appreciate your videos thank you and Merry Christmas mate. I'll often do the drop shadow and outline first but not fill in the centres of the lettering. I don't get fussy with it though so when I do the lettering any sloppy mistake that went into the lettering with the outline gets covered but coverage is slightly better.
Like everything in life "It depends" though.
Hi Luke, thanks for the comment.
Ypu got any cool pictures of your work to share. I have an email in the description of my videos if you ever get a chance to send them over.
I think outlining that way may have worked a bit better for this video if I did that. Always easy to say afterwards though.
I read somewhere you can put a little black in yellow to make it cover better.
It certainly would, but would leave the yellow a bit darker too. Great on light surfaces but might be a problem with dark ones.
Your handiwork looks great. Bro I am a Bangladeshi I have 10 years of experience as a sign writer. I am in 3D. neon sign letter sign I can work on painting. can i work in canada , can i do any writing job with tuli . Can you help me? I will be happy if you tell me
show parabéns irmao!
Love your videos!! Wondering how you go about pricing your hand painted signs? Everyone seems to have a different take on it…size, complexity, etc. Was curious about yours! Thanks and have a great day!
Hi Irish, thanks a lot for your comment, really glad your liking the video's! To be honest the thing that most effects my price are materials and time taken. With time taken being generally the bigger cost. It's hard to price though sometimes. Just remember to not sell yourself short!
Haha…definitely won’t! It’s just a matter of finding that perfect balance that the customers are happy with. Anyway, binge watching all your videos, learning some new tips and tricks while being entertained. Great music selections to go with the voice overs as well! Thank you! Cheers and have a great day!

How many novices have such an elaborate printer that does all the lettering for you ?---you are not showing the basic lettering !
Nice layout, very Bing Crosby, hope you have a Cracking New Year Brush Bother, I'll leave you with this little favourite tune of mine... th-cam.com/video/oN8n99BUO-A/w-d-xo.html
Try a fleck of black in the more translucent colours, Alpha Enamel Dark Yellow is good and opaque in two coats, plus you can add around 5% of Imitation Gold to help block the background colours out more. Try not paintin in a full background also for really pale colours wotk off a pale surface field and trat the background as 'fill' when your lettering is down, befor shadows and lining out is done.
Ps I still have the leaf if'n you want it, check your inboxes... Happy Crimbo Dude,
Thanks! And to you.
Never heard that one mate. Might try and sneak it onto my partners Christmas music playlist 😈
