Clara C. Miller, daughter of Chris and Susie Anna(Miller) Gingerich was born January 27, 1931, at Kalona, IA. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children on December 16, 2024, at 5:12 PM at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston MO. She was 93 years, 10 months, and 19 days.
On January 18, 1951, she was united in marriage to Harley D. Miller. God blessed their home with seven sons and five daughters. Esther (Chris Gardner) of Kelowna, BC; Rosemary (Delbert Petersheim) of Cuba, MO; Virgil (Martha Miller) of San Roman BZ; Verton (Anne Martin) of Strawberry, AR; Nina (Jerry Woodcock) of Summersville MO; Joyce /(Paul Miller) of Eldorado Springs, MO; Daniel (Linda Kemp) of Strawberry, AR; Joseph (Laura Martin) of Milton, PA; James (Lois Ann Rohrer) of Louisburg, NC; Faith (Leslie Rohrer) of Union, MO; Myron (Anna Oberholtzer) of Fairland, OK; and Stephen of Fairland, OK.
She was blessed with 65 grandchildren and 148 great- grandchildren.
In her youth she received Christ as her Lord and Savior. At the time of her death she was a member at Cuba Christian Brotherhood in Cuba, MO.
She was a faithful and loving mother who put the spiritual wellbeing of her family ahead of everything else. We were told that when she came into this world, they didn't know if she would make it. When she left, we knew that according to God's Word, she had!
Besides her family, she is survived by one sister, Esther (Jake) Yoder of Kalona, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley D. Miller; three infant grandsons; one infant great-granddaughter, her twin sister, Mary Swantz; one brother, Ray Gingerich; a sister-in-law, Wilma Gingerich; a brother-in-law, Lewis Swantz; and her parents, Chris and Susie Anna Gingerich
We as a family thank all of you for your prayers, kindness, and sharing during this time! May God bless each one!
