And I would add that it is very very hard to match the perfection of their collective game. In my opinion, this team is, to this day, the perfect example of how beautifull basketball is when team mates share the ball.
I've been a SPURS fan since 2003 and this championship is the sweetest! Last year I was depressed for such a long time after that horrible loss. Now all I can do is tear up every time I see SPURS tributes and videos of their tremendous accomplishment. I'm glad the younger generation is beginning to appreciate the style of play and the work ethic that the SPURS have. GO SPURS GO!
That moment when Duncan is holding his kids, that will always be engraved in my memory. One of the greatest to ever play the game, there will never be anyone like in this lifetime.
Never forget the scene that Duncan hit the ground with both hands after he missed the clutch lay-up. Because of that, Duncan decided to return to 2013-2014 season instead of retire. He realized it is important to overcome Heat in his career. Duncan is the real fighter, he can accept failure and reborn from ash.
I'm a Lakers fan 100%.. but San Antonio clearly was the best team to win the championship in 2014. Now Duncan can show one whole hand full of championship rings to anybody's face! well done S.A.
Love how the owner of the Spurs gave the trophy to the players and stood to the side. He knew that it's the players that earned the trophy and wanted to just let them have the moment! Great moment.
So the Popovich/Duncan era has now outlasted Kobe/Shaq, the Piston's big run, the Celtics big 3, the 2nd Laker run thus spanning the whole Kobe / Phil Jackson era, now Miami's Big 3, not to mention all the Western conference powers that have come and gone Mavs, Suns, etc. Other great teams come and gone but for a decade and a half there has been one constant, the San Antonio Spurs.
Yes, but we still haven't repeated, Michael/Scottie & Shaq/Kobe 3peated, that's still out there as a challenge. Magic/Coop/Worthy, Zeke/Joe D, Kobe/Gasol/Lamar, DWade/LeBron/RuPaul all repeated. (sorry I just can't put Chris Bosh name in the same sentence as Magic & Isiah) As for the Kobe/Phil era we still gotta get 6 to span their era, even if we pull it off, Phil Jackson still won't swallow his asterisk.
***** TD tied with Kobe right now, wouldn't it be great for Tim to get 6? It would tie Michael. As we speak Kobe is closing in passing Mike on the all-time scoring list. For Kobe it ain't about getting rings anymore it's about rewriting the history books. As for this Spurs fan, for Timmy, 6 would be super-extra-sweet (1 more than Kobe, as many as MJ)
The first 1:47 of this video is just heartbreaking to watch and listen to. The tone of Tony and Manu's voices and seeing Tim Duncan who never shows ANY emotion slap the floor at :31 is just so powerful. This 2014 was an incredible season to see them overcome this devastating loss and come out on top. Great story for anyone even if they aren't sports fans to never give up in life.
I was so heartbroken after Ray Allen's shot, and then to make thing's worse Tim Duncan misses a layup in game 7. For the Spurs to get back to the NBA finals after all the heartbreak last year and face the team they wanted and knew that they should've beaten was almost like a fairy tale where the hero overcomes all the struggles and comes out on top in the end, and I don't think enough has been said about Leonard who had never won a Finals and for him to miss a crucial free throw that set up Ray Allen to tie the game, and for him to come back and turn in the performance he did throughout the whole playoffs was what the Spurs needed. Without Leonard, the Spurs wouldn't have won their 5th NBA title, and by far the most crucial play he made was on Westbrook when he stripped it away on the fastbreak. Leonard by far was the MVP.
I will have to disagree with this statement because Spurs played great team basketball and they had great shooters like marco Belinelli Patty Mills Boris Diaw Danny Green. they would just a better team this year andwanted it more than Miami 1 player can't effect the finals. It was a team effort. go Spurs go
I'm crying like a baby, all those hours of effort by all, a lifetime devoted to work, all the obstacles they jumped, all the moments they sacrificed... everything was rewarded.
So poetic... As a Spurs fan who has kept up with them since 1998, and closely followed their regular seasons, playoffs, drafts, summer league games, and so on and so forth, this season will always go down as the most memorable. There is such a deep rooted love and appreciation I have for the Spurs. I feel blessed to be a fan of theirs; and I am not overstating that! GoSpursGo!!!
I still have that Ginobili poster on Bosh on my mind and loved how he pushed off Ray Allen after he did that same thing to Marco Belinelli i got so hyped when i saw that live
Sweet redemption! The shot that won the game and the Western Conference Finals series, earning them another chance for redemption against Miami. Which they completed. So inspirational!

It's really hard not to like the Spurs. They move the ball flowingly and it's just so pleasing to watch team basketball. However, give it to the Heat. They played a great season and made it to the final 4 consecutive years, a great accomplishment indeed. Congratulations to the Spurs and hope the Heat organization continues to compete well.
Pure fundamental basketball at its finest. A lost art in shown in the modern game and the Spurs prove its still the way to play to win. Its nice to see even though im part of the new generation.
One year ago after game six I left the bar in a state of confusion and got 3 blocks from my house then bam ! Clubbed in the head (3 times)and left for dead . No exaggeration. Cracked skull; broken nose;broken teeth; broken fingers. Left for dead. After almost 2 hours of laying in a puddle of blood I got up again and I'm back alive and kicking ! You have no idea how sweet this victory is !!! You can't keep a good man ...or team down ! Ready for year 41 of Spurs basketball !
Last year when they lost that game 6 I got to a very deep state of sadness that lasted for a long time. I remember I couldn't almost eat for two days (no kidding) it just shows how passionate I am with sports, this team means everything to me. So I perfectly understand you when u say this victory is too sweet, they came after one year and best them down! This is the sweetest victory I've ever experienced in my life
Man last year my life took a crazy turn all this was the only thing that bought be some joy and after the loss I was faced with reality not much has changed but this year this team shows you can always get up if you want cheers to you man Go Spurs Go
I could not even watch any basketball game until the finals since last year. I was afraid of jinxing them so I only paid little attention until the final was finished.
I never was a Spurs fan, but this run was a thing of beauty. Congratulations to San Antonio Spurs and all of its fans. You have something to be proud of and we all have something to look back on as something very special in the history of NBA.
A month later and I'm still watching highlights....... Whether its football, basketball, baseball, what it is, if its your team, you will continue to watch it for years to come.
this just shows how sweet redemption was for us. the fans loved it, but the players loved it even more. we took down james and made the heat look silly. only thing that could possibly make this video better is showing parts of the celebration that took place downtown. never take down this video. love it.
My favorite sports team of all time, what classic organization, of good men, role models led by the Greatest Forward Tim Duncan playing the #beautifulgame of basketball.
It's the best championship film ever!!! Spurs is such a honorable and respectable team, and there is no more in NBA today! I love SAS for all heart, and I'm so proud of that.
I was so fucking nervous at the start of game 5. The way the Heat (LeBron) came out I thought for a second they might actually get to game 6, but once the Spurs started making their missed shots I knew they'd come back. Basketball is a game of runs and it was only a matter of time. The dagger for me was ginobli's 3 and then his dunk. From then on I knew they'd close it out. Amazing team. Perfect basketball.
I was in the car refreshing my SportsCenter app like crazy. They started losing badly, then somehow they reverse it. It all got stable for the Spurs after Ginobili's dunk, but for me, the dagger was the string of threes Manu and Patty put together.
The last two minutes of this video got me teary lol especially with the stars hugging their wives and children and Kahwi getting that well deserved MVP
Traveled from Dubai to San Antonio to Witness Game 2 & Game 5 of the 2014 NBA FInals. Spent $3500 on game tickets. Worth every penny. Stood and cheered the whole second half. Cried at the end. Crossed it off the bucket list.
Fawad K it's honestly the best thing in the world at a spurs game I always go there super fun the Spurs will go down as one of the best franchisees in the NBA and no one else will ever play like them Spurs for 2017 finals
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for making this tribute. I love it. Die hard Spurs fan since The Admiral days, Sydney Australia. Go Spurs Go.
They're a great team and I can thank them for making LeBron come home. I'm glad we're (Cavs) are relevant again. But seriously the Spurs are the most fun team in the NBA to watch. The passing is unbelievable.
I still love watching the passion and emotion come out of Kawhi when they presented the MVP trophy to him. You can see all of that bottled up because he's so quiet and humble and then the joy spilled out. Awesome!! Spurs for life!
This is a beautiful video to watch. The editing of all five games to bake it down to one 20 minute video simply awesome. This has to be some of the greatest basketball I have ever seen in my life. Both teams have made NBA Finals history and one of the greatest Rivalries in the sports today. Congratulations San Antonio Spurs...Go Spurs Go!!!
San Antonio Spurs Redemption. Last Year was a Heartbreak for all us Loyal Fans and True Spurs Nation. Miami just Got Lucky and Got Save by that Shot of Allen but Now we Have Proving that All Doubters and Critics are Wrong Our Spurs are the Best in the World. True Brotherhood and Team. Loyalty, Trust, Believe and Characters that's the Spurs Way " Spurfection " Go Spurs Go We Believe Next Year Same Place Same Time Drive for 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Amazing composition. I especially like the end when Tim and Kawhi high five each other. It shows the confidence that the next generation of Spurs basketball is in good hands
This is the way it should be a team, and how you should play good basketball, they are the best, and this video is beautiful, thank you for creating it
Cried like a little b* watching this video. Thanks for capturing the intensity, nerves, excitement, love and unbelievable pride the San Antonio Spurs fans have.
You did a great job man as a fellow Spurs fan... loved watching this.. especially loved the first part where you put the moment Spurs lost last year's finals which eventually motivated them to go into this year's finals...Superb job done.. SPURSFORLIFE
Damn, this was a great job! It was perfect, Yo! Don't ever take this video out of youtube! It'll be nice to replay this every once in a while. Excellent Job!
Great job man. Spurs fan since 1989. I haven't seen this much of last year's heartbreak until this video. It's a bitter reminder that makes their road to redemption and triumph so great and magical. GO SPURS GO!!!!!!!!
Man, this had me damn near in tears. Thank you so much for this. This is a fitting tribute to a truly spectacular team. I've been a Spurs fan since the beginning and this one is the sweetest of all five because this one was won out of extreme adversity. The Chase for Sies begins.
Still feels like yesterday. I loved every second of that season and playoff run. The way they lost in 2013 made this so much sweeter. And the best part is I got to watch the entire playoff run with my dad
WOW, that was an awesome clip. Still get goosebumps when I see how emotional Timmy got. Kawhi getting the finals MVP was in one word...perfect. I hope all basketball fans and lovers really appreciate what you're seeing with the Spurs. It will be a very long time until you see another team that can play like a 'team' like the Spurs. GO SPURS GO! Let's finally get this repeat
Major props to the one who made this vid. So proud of the Spurs on how they recovered from last year's devastating loss in the nba finals. This year's championship is the sweetest of them all, probably even sweeter than their first...
these 2014 san antonio spurs and the 2004 detroit pistons are great examples of teams thats dont need superstars in their roster in order to win a championship, all you need is players that know how to play as a team
If Tim, Tony, and Manu are NOT superstars then perhaps someone needs to define the word cause I'd really like to know what it takes to be termed a 'superstar.'
Spurs are the most underrated dynasty there has ever been. They were untouchable yet all we hear about is teams like the Lakers, the Heat, the Bulls legacies...maybe not now but The Spurs RULED the court for close to an effing decade. But you know, that's also what makes them champions. Their attitudes. They HAVE ALWAYS BEEN one of the most respectful teammates and opponents and when you're that good you don't have to brag about it or be talked about constantly for that to be any less true.
Hats off to you my friend, you managed to make me relive the feelings and emotions of not only the series but what it all meant. redemption, unfinished business, dedication and never leaving out team work. Best video by far. cant wait to see next years! Go Spurs Go!!!!
I'm a Mavericks fan but watching this shows that the Spurs is by all time one of the most greatest teams. They deserved to win by accomplishing so muc, this brought me to tears
Man that was special. All choked up again. It doesn't get old. This team, these guys, this franchise is in a league of their own. What they've done is truly amazing. Kawhi is a superstar and as humble as they come. Everyone should appreciate their greatness. GSG
Tim Duncan said "We'll get it done this time." Probably the most real determined thing he's ever said in an interview. Well done guys.
I remember even Chris Bosh said "They were a different team"
best nba team ever. u can put this team up against any team ever, i would still bet my money on the 2014 spurs.
@MUFC What does that have to do with anything?
@MUFC Soccer is a sport that you need just ball. 7 billion people in the world they play the one game they can afford, soccer, and it sucks.
@@crenshawshank soccer wtf lol we talking bout the spurs
So true
The Warriors have entered the chat. 💀
the 2013-14 San Antonio Spurs are the perfect example of why losing makes you stronger.
Yes. My dad used to make us watch the Houston Oilers as an example how to be real man .
@@davemckay4359 i see what you did there. 😆

Great film, Spurs are without question the best team of this modern NBA era!!!
I'm a Lakers fan 100%.. but San Antonio clearly was the best team to win the championship in 2014. Now Duncan can show one whole hand full of championship rings to anybody's face! well done S.A.

This was probably the last title there ever gonna win. its time to rebulid for the Spurs. There not even playing that well this season.

Vengeance is mine said the SA Spurs!
Tim Duncan had a bad year, first he was going through a divorce, missed that shot, and lost the finals.
icemilitia so true so true But what a come back !!!

Not just Leonard. The whole team. ginobli, green, mills, bellenilli, parker, duncan, etc. Splitter... Pop. It's a team effort
Bravo Bravo San Antonio! Best basketball I've ever seen, much love and respect! Spurs Forever!
I'm not a Spurs fan, but I'm a fan of basketball. This is a really beautiful and inspiring video. Not only for basketball, but for life.
Heat: u not calling any fouls to help us win
Refs: they shooting like 100% nothing I can do bout it
lol

It is true! Those pass, those shoots still like yesterday! And the champion cherring moment is one of my best memories!

Miami's fan towels/shirts(?) at 9:15 are downright funny. Bragging about beating Charlotte, Brooklyn, and Indiana? Hysterical.
im so happy for them! spurs fan for life baby!!
The greatest, humblest, most unselfish sports franchise ever!! A true joy to watch.
Heart, attitude and determination got them here. 2014 NBA CHAMPIONS, SAN ANTONIO SPURS!
Why do I still get the chills with this team? And yet, the best is yet to come. 2022-2023 is coming.....

Best champion video in the world !!
We learned the spirit of team work from San Antonio Spurs.
Thanks so much Spurs for that incredible year and thanks for showing me what TEAM BASKETBALL means...This video is great!

This is the way it should be a team, and how you should play good basketball, they are the best, and this video is beautiful, thank you for creating it

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS! Reliving every moment of this championship run was amazing and I shed some grown men tears so thanks for that!
Simply fantastic. A level of quality appropriate for the Spurs. Fantastic job!
Go Spurs Go!
看到最後的那個擊掌,全身起雞皮疙瘩... 世代的傳承阿!!!!
21的意志>>2!!!
Go Spurs Go!!!
可惜後來 2離開了馬刺, 傷了無數刺迷的心
One of the most amazing videos I've ever seen. I got an adrenaline rush watching the entire video. Well done! Go Spurs! Thanks for posting!!
I come here every year. Come watch with me again hehe
This year's championship is the sweetest of them all, probably even sweeter than their first...
these 2014 san antonio spurs and the 2004 detroit pistons are great examples of teams thats dont need superstars in their roster in order to win a championship, all you need is players that know how to play as a team
agree
If Tim, Tony, and Manu are NOT superstars then perhaps someone needs to define the word cause I'd really like to know what it takes to be termed a 'superstar.'
Juan Garcia tim duncan is a ++++ súper star, wtf r u talking about
Juan Garcia Exactly
2011 Mavs
Hope your a spurs fan now
Man that was special. All choked up again. It doesn't get old. This team, these guys, this franchise is in a league of their own. What they've done is truly amazing. Kawhi is a superstar and as humble as they come. Everyone should appreciate their greatness. GSG
Leonard and Duncan was the youngest finals MVP, and both on the same team and won a championship. My Spurs are awesome. 2014 Season let's go.
