I am truly grateful to see my favorite author, Robert Green sharing this type of discipline with those people out there who perhaps have not mastered this super activity of the Mind, which I have been engaging for over 20 years. I can not be grateful enough to Robert Green for having taught me the art of reading people's double-dealing and their machiavellian vicious ways to screw us up through his phenomenal books, especially, Human Nature, and the 48 Laws of Powers. Thank you so much for being there and teaching us so much Divine wisdom. May you be well and blessed for all you shared and how you continue to make an effort to remain active despite your stroke. I'm keeping you in my prayers my darling.

OMG, this could not have come at a better time! The message here really resonated deeply with me, I felt so understood and the way Robert talked about discarding one's anxieties sounds so simple but something about its expression, and the fact that it's coming from him, makes me feel more confident in not letting intrusive thoughts worry me more than they need to.

Thank you so much for these exercises. I haven't commented on the last months, but instituting each one daily has made me get to this one capable of finally not just seeing the patterns and trying to 'not' but restructuring my thought process on every level. I have gained so much, and your thoughtfulness is aspirational, I am grateful for your books and videos. I know you know this but people don't always say things. so I try to when it's really impactful and a grace.

Robert the first time I started reading 48 laws of power I got a little bit frightened. Halfway through law #2 I had to set the book down for a while and then I started reading 1 law a month. Eventually I got so comfortable/EXCITED to read every page one after another. I gained a new sense of hope and understanding. I learned several important things but the 2 that stand out are
    1. Despise the free lunch
    2. DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONAL
I have bought 3 of your books and I plan to buy every single one you have written

Robert, this is the best advice I've ever gotten from you. About a month ago I was listening to the Laws of Human Nature while driving Uber and this part about compulsive thoughts was the single most salient part. I listened to it twice. I keep a journal every day going back 11 years but never really read any of it. Now I've made a project to read all my journals and actually recognize and think about these patterns you were talking about. I subscribe to the New York Times, so why the fuck am I constantly clicking on baity headlines from MSN? It's totally compulsive. I found ways to eliminate tempting news links from my web browser and I made it more difficult for myself to access Facebook and Instagram. Anyways I'm experiencing more clarity and less stress by taking this all head on.

Eric Bernes great book Games People Play is relevant to this video, and identifies repetitive behaviour patterns ( the games ) which happen over and over and over again. These games are all about experiencing a feeling which which we have a compulsive need to feel. This might be a feeling of righteous anger we get from punishing other people, or a futile need to reexperience a feeling of rejection or shame. Challenging the patterns as RG says is really all we can do, but it is difficult to budge them , our psyche is determined to keep bringing up the issue/issues of our early life. Towards the end of the book Berne says there is a continuous battle '' to avoid falling back into the old ways'' , and in another of his books ( I forget which one ) Berne speaks of the prospect of ''putting a new show on the road.'' Keep at it is the motto I guess.

Whether it is a positive thought or negative. 😅. Since thought itself is a self centered activity. The key is not to be too romantic or sentimental in prayer. Anyway, thank you for such work Mr. Greene 😅.

I’d be curios as to how this would work/relate with people with ASD; as with ASD it’s not thoughts, but feelings in how the nervous system responds to stimuli, which can me managed but not controlled or “let go of”. Of course there’s still thoughts surrounding such things but I’d be curios to learn more in that aspect.
