- Released April 2010 retailing at ¥2,850 before tax. A very promissing start to the brand new Revoltech Sci-Fi line. Delivers everything I could have wanted from this figure. Highly recommended. I hope they go on to do decent human characters and not just the expected space monsters!

Hello 2Old4Toys! I have a question for you.
Do you know if the Sci-fi Revoltech Serie will be bigger than the 15 figures that are confirmed at the moment? Or will the serie only have 15 figures?

Usually I'm not very fond to Revoltech figures but this one is exeption.
That is quite possibly one of the best looking figures I've seen, and I've seen alot. The amount you can do with the head really impressed me. Like the mouth action, I figured they'd fall back on changeable heads, but no, they went all out with that mouth action. Very nice.

Wow, I wasn't thinking very much about this until you showed off the detail up close. Very nice.
Hot damn it sure look cool....now I see why those Sci-Fi revoltechs are more expensive than the original ones.
My biggest problem with a lot of these other Xenomorph figures is they're way too small the Neca scaling is far better and you're getting so much figure for your money

I've been a fanboy of Alien (first two movies at least, I've ignored the rest of the series) literally since I was 12, and upon finding out they were making a revoltech figure of the monster I nearly exploded in joy. After watching this video, I'm double convinced: NEED.
Also, nice to finally see someone else consider the first one the best one. Always felt alone in that.
Wow, lots of detail there! an opening mouth and tongue! wasn't expecting that. Looks live they've done a really good job.

The pelvis revoltech joints can also be rotated to make the leg spread wider for more aggressive poses :)

I'm astounded by the level of detail, paint and translucent parts.
The first 2 films really were by far and away the best.
The first is a horror, the second is an action movie. I think both are great in their own right. I like the original Giger Alien design, but I think I like Aliens better.

this is the best review ever
this is a fantastic figure. however, the glossy overcoat seems to lose its glossy luster quite fast. I've had this figure for just over 3 months and it's already much less shiny than when I first opened it (it's not like I play with it lots, it's just on display). The translucent dome is also beginning to look duller and more transparent rather than translucent. I know gloss dissipates over time but this is fast. anyone know if reglossing it is a good idea?

the predator review renewed my cravings to own this gorgeous alien beast.. it's awesome that they're still readily located via Google, i was worried about them selling out in a month.

I wonder if they will end up also doing the other variations from the comics and such, of which we saw a few in the old toy line like the snake and bull alien.
Nice review and smooth transistions. Alien one will always be the best one, but Aliens had some nice troopers feeling as a teenager. They measured the heartbeat of the audience during a screening, definately a rollercoaster ride, too bad I have not seen it on the big screen, they kinda cut it in germany when they find their comrades woven in and demands: "Kill me..." ^^
@greenmondaymorning Yes, I really like the holes in the abdomen because it makes it so un-human! Giger used a human skull hidden inside the dark translucent cranium to give a "deathly" sense to it. The skull is not at all visible in the movie... it's meant to be subliminal for the audience. Creepy eh?
@nytrospawn Ding! You are correct sir. You'll always know a "xenomorph" when you see one, but they won't always look the exact same.
Thank god, it's based on the original design. Love, love, LOVE the original movie. I mean, Aliens is great and all, sure, but the tense, scifi horror atmosphere of the first blows it away. The lest said about the other sequels the better. You know Scott's directing a new one? Pretty much guaranteed to be awesome with him behind it.
Oh, about how much do these go for? Really want one.

Great articulation for something so small
This is a great figure. But ever since Neca's 35gh Anniversary Xenomorph came out I've been eyeing that one. It's the most film-accurate one I've seen yet. Although I usually prefer figures in this smaller scale.
i believe the xenomorph is about the nastiest alien i have ever seen
@GrehgTube It's supposed to, I believe. Lots of designs in the original were either very phallic or based heavily on womb or vaginal imagery. If you ask me, that just adds to the strange, biomechanical look of the Xenos and face huggers.

either a really good hot toys figure, with inaccuracies, a shitty mcfarlane figure, an 18" NECA figure, which is pretty cool, A REALLY accurate Medicome Alien, or the really RARE 1979 Kenner figure! But This figure isn't trash, though small, it's pretty accurate!
@suiton629 reviewing figures takes far less of my time compared to reviewing gunpla. PG Red Frame pt3 will likely be the next bit of major Gundam reviewing you'll hear out of me. It'll ba totally worth the wait!
@anubisxdmj0 Alien and foreigner are practically one and the same. The word "Alien" has been adapted by American culture to refer to monsters from outerspace. That same kanji also means "Alien" in Japanese(I think)

I'm not sure if you're into Aliens related figures, but how good do think this figure holds up against the alien figures from mcfarlane?
@greenmondaymorning That human skull is actually part of the back story about the "xenomorphs". Basically, the story is that they take on biological characteristics of the hosts they "infest" .

@TSHTSMusic Having seen the cut joints they employ at Neca I much prefer Revoltech. Despite being smaller.

@SHELLSHOCK6669 The sequel used multiple Alien warrior suits for lots of physical stunt action. Cost cutting dropped the original's intricate detail, the delicate domed head. They paired up the fingers too. They're also deliberately more insect-like in appearance, appropriate for the hive-like behaviours put forward in the sequel. It's a fast moving action flick, properly lit to hide any suit deficiencies, most people did not notice the changes made to the Alien suit. The original's better.

100 times better than the neca version! The neca version made me very angry, when i just got it out of the package i tried moving the leg and it just snapped off like nothing

I honestly prefer this over the sh.monster arts.the sh monsterarts wouldeve been the perfect alien figure if only the cover of the skull was tons darker then what we got

ooooh whaat does the alien have a human skullll??!!!... that's a shame i always thougt he had only a mouth ( 2 exually ) but i found it scary to know that the alien can't see or smell, that he just knows...... you know, now i'm dissapointed
